Scouting report

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New England Patriots
The last game for Tyler Conklin before the bye was not a good one. He had only two targets and one reception. These have been the norm since early in the season with the exception of the first meeting with this week's opponent New England.

Conklin had 10 targets and six receptions for 79 yards and two touchdowns. It was his best game of the season. New England ranks 25th in aFPA to tight ends so Conklin isn't the only one who has had some success. But we think the Pats will be more aware of him and this game is on the road so keep him on the bench for Week 11 as a TE2.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Buffalo Bills
It was Tyler Conklin's best game of the season in a loss for New York. He was targeted a season-high 10 times which produced seven catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Conklin started the season strong but had been quiet lately until this past weekend. It might be a sign he is back on track.

Conklin faces the Bills who are ranked 16th in aFPA to tight ends. We want to see him do it again this week before we start buying into him. He ranks a mid-range TE2 for Week 9.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Denver Broncos
Tyler Conklin has disappeared the last two games for the Jets. He has a combined three targets and one reception over that span. Conklin had a surprising start to the season and was on the fantasy radar for managers, but his stock has dropped back down.

Conklin will face Denver who is ranked 11th in aFPA to tight ends. The Jets are on a winning streak but this will be a tough game to extend it as the Broncos defense is very good overall. Keep Conklin on the bench for Week 7 as he only ranks a low-end TE2.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Green Bay Packers
After being involved with the offense the first four games, Tyler Conklin disappeared last week with one target and zero catches. It was probably just one of those game for him as the ball went other places.

Conklin faces the Packers who are ranked 15th in aFPA to tight ends. Although we don't expect Conklin to be shut out again, we do think he should be on the bench for Week 6 as a TE2.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Miami Dolphins
Tyler Conklin continues to be a surprise for the Jets and actually has been the most productive fantasy tight end in the AFC East. He now has 21 receptions for 192 yards and a touchdown.

Conklin faces the Dolphins who are 31st in aFPA to tight ends so far this season. The favorable matchup makes him attractive for Week 5. However, we rank him as a high-end TE2 going into Sunday. Starting him shouldn't be out of the question because of his recent production.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Pittsburgh Steelers
Tyler Conklin had his best game of the season with 8 targets, 8 receptions, and 84 receiving yards. The tight end has found a home in New York although C.J. Uzomah is healing and you wonder if he will eventually make Conklin irrelevant.

This week the Jets play the Steelers who are ranked 22nd in aFPA to tight ends. Although this is a favorable matchup, we think the Uzomah factor will start kicking in.

Conklin rates a TE2 for Week 4 so keep him on the bench.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Tyler Conklin has become relevant with 16 targets in the first two games that has produced 10 receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown. It probably has something to do with Joe Flacco being a veteran quarterback who will use his tight end as a safety blanket,

Conklin faces the Bengals who are ranked 25th in aFPA to tight ends. Even with a favorable matchup and decent production, we only have him on the watch list for tight ends. If the targets continue, he could become someone to have on your roster for depth.
