Scouting report

SEA RB Travis Homer - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs 49ers

Homer could see more work in the passing game with Chris Carson out. That's if he isn't limited, as he is dealing with a knee injury. Seattle could also work in DeeJay Dallas, capping Homer's ceiling, even if he plays, which is probably more likely than not.

SEA RB Travis Homer - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Vikings

Homer just sneaks into the top 50 this week for running backs with Carlos Hyde still banged up after missing Sunday's game against the Dolphins. But Homer saw just five touches in Miami and only one target in the passing game. But that catch did go for a touchdown. Other than that, his ceiling is limited. He was even out-targeted by DeeJay Dallas (2-1).

SEA RB Travis Homer - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Homer and Carlos Hyde actually played the same number of snaps in Week 3 and have the same number of targets (3) in the passing game through the first three weeks of the season. But with Hyde the more powerful running back, he is going to see more work on early downs than Homer, but Homer could see some third-down work if Chris Carson is limited or even out. A lot of this depends on the status of Carson, who did practice Wednesday in a limited capacity. Keep an eye on Seattle's injury report throughout the week. Seattle and Miami have a 1:00 kickoff on Sunday.

SEA RB Travis Homer - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs San Francisco
Rookie Travis Homer gets the start Sunday with the top three running backs for Seattle all out. The Seahawks brought in veterans Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin, but Homer, who has eight career carries, will get the bulk of the action.

Homer will face San Fran who is 2nd in aFPA to running backs. We expect him to get enough touches to be relevant although the matchup might limit the production. Start Homer as a solid RB2 for Week 17 as Seattle will not abandon the running game because of the injuries.
