DEN RB Royce Freeman - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

While he only received seven carries for 23 yards last week against the Chargers, Royce Freeman was able to score on a three-yard run, his fifth touchdown of the season. Phillip Lindsay received 11 rushing attempts and will remain the Broncos No. 1 RB. Freeman has been held to less than 50 total yards in four straight and that trend will likely continue at home on Sunday versus the No. 9 Steelers run defense. Freeman does not make for a good fantasy start.

DEN RB Royce Freeman - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Chargers

Royce Freeman has missed the past two games with an ankle injury but is expected back on Sunday at Los Angeles. In seven games, the rookie is averaging only 44 yards per game on the ground and hasn’t rushed for more than 70 yards in any contest. While Freeman has four TDs, he is a risky fantasy start, as Phillip Lindsay has taken over as the Broncos lead RB.

DEN RB Royce Freeman - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Houston Texans

After missing the game at Kansas City last Sunday due to an ankle injury, Royce Freeman could be back in the home contest versus Houston. The Broncos were able to run for nearly 200 yards versus the Chiefs without him but will be facing a tougher defense this week. If he’s able to play, Freeman should be considered an RB3/flex start against the Houston D that allows less than 100 yards per game on the ground.

DEN RB Royce Freeman - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Kansas City Chiefs
Royce Freeman suffered an ankle injury in the win over the Cardinals last Thursday. Prior to leaving with the injury, he ran for 37 yards and a score on 13 carries. Freeman rushed for 67 yards and a TD four weeks ago versus Kansas City but be sure to monitor his injury status for the rematch.

DEN RB Royce Freeman - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Arizona Cardinals
Versus the Rams last Sunday, Royce Freeman led the team with nine carries and 22 yards. Over the past three games, the rookie has carried the ball a total of just 22 times and has not been in the end zone in two straight. Look for a better performance from the Denver ground game on Thursday night versus a bad Cardinals run D, but Freeman makes for just an RB3/flex option.

DEN RB Royce Freeman - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Los Angeles Rams
Last week in New Jersey Royce Freeman was grounded by the Jets. With the Broncos playing from behind for much of the afternoon, the rookie rushed the ball just five times for 31 yards, with 24 of those yards coming on one carry. Phillip Lindsay and Freeman combined for 92 yards on the ground, but Lindsay received over two-thirds of the attempts. The Rams are allowing 107 rushing yards per game but Denver may be playing from behind again, so consider Freeman a RB3/flex play.

DEN RB Royce Freeman - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at New York Jets

In the Monday night home loss to Kansas City, Royce Freeman finished with eight carries for 67 yards and a patient 14-yard TD run, his third consecutive game with a score. While fellow rookie Phillip Lindsay received 12 rushing attempts, the two RBs will continue to receive playing time and touches. The Jets are middle-of-the pack versus the run, making Freeman a RB3/flex start on the road.
