NYJ WR Percy Harvin - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14: Harvin vs Vikings

Percy Harvin was only targeted three times on Monday, but that was because Geno Smith only threw 13 passes the whole game. Harvin actually had six carries, but didn't break any big ones. The Jets intend on running the football as much as possible which could help Harvin's value.

The Jets face the Vikings, who are 4th in aFPA to wide receivers. Even if he gets five carries again, the New York passing game will hurt Harvin and all the Jets receivers. Keep Harvin on the bench for Week 14.

NYJ WR Percy Harvin - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13: Harvin vs Dolphins

Percy Harvin actually has more rushing attempts (6) than catches (4) over the past two games. The Jets want to find ways to get him the ball, but the offense is so bad right now, they can't seem to do anything right. Will Harvin be helped by the switch to Geno Smith at QB? Probably not.

It's a neutral matchup this week as the Dolphins are 14th in a FPA to wide receivers. Despite the low numbers by Harvin, he is still ranked a little bit higher than Eric Decker due to his big play ability, but stay away from both of them in Week 13. Keep Harvin on the bench.

NYJ WR Percy Harvin - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Harvin vs Bills

Since coming over from the Seahawks, Percy Harvin has had one monster game and two stinkers. So, it could be potluck every week with Harvin. He is averaging nine targets per game so he appears to be in Michael Vick's sight lines, but will the production match the interest?

He had a great matchup this week against the Bills who are 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. Harvin should be in your starting lineup as a low-end WR2 for Week 12.

NYJ WR Percy Harvin - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Harvin vs Steelers
Percy Harvin exploded last week with 11 catches, 129 yards receiving and 13 targets, all season-highs. His previous yardage high was 59. Maybe Michael Vick will mean good things for Harvin from here on out, but we want to see more of a sample size.

Pittsburgh is 13th in aFPA to wide receivers so the matchup is neutral. Harvin is a decent play this week, with many teams on byes. He rates a low-end WR2 or high-end flex for Week 10.

NYJ WR Percy Harvin - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9: Harvin vs Chiefs
The Jets are going to try to find ways to get Percy Harvin the ball. He was targeted nine times and ran the ball four times. Problem is the offense around him is bad. Mike Vick might be helpful for Harvin, but that still remains to be seen.

The Chiefs defense won't help Harvin as they are 8th in aFPA to wide receivers. Harvin is a WR3 at best. He will get touches, but the Jets overall offense brings him down.

NYJ WR Percy Harvin - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8: Harvin vs Bills
We are going to have to wait and see with Percy Harvin and we don't expect much this week, as the Jets will ease him into the offense. No doubt, he has something to prove and the matchup is very good against the Bills who are 28th in aFPA to wide receivers.

There is little doubt in our minds, Harvin should be on your bench this week. He could eventually work his way into your lineup, but it will take some time.

SEA WR Percy Harvin - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7: Harvin vs Rams
Percy Harvin had a very strange stat line last week: 3 catches, 0 yards. It wasn't exactly what his owners were looking for, but we will chalk it up to bad overall performance by the Seahawks' offense.

We should get better results this week although that is more because of the opposing defense. St. Louis is 31st in aFPA to wide receivers which should help Harvin and the rest of the 'Hawks receivers. However, don't forget that Harvin has only averaged five targets per game this season which is not a good number for someone considered Seattle's top receivers. Start Harvin as a WR3 or flex for Week 7.
