CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Buffalo Bills

After three straight 300+ yard games, Mitch Trubisky had a bit of a step back with a 220-yard performance last week. He still played well, finishing with two touchdowns. He also finished with at least 45 rushing yards for the fourth straight game.

He gets a tough task this week against a Bills defense that has found its rhythm. Buffalo was bad to start the year, but since Week 3 they've been tough against QBs, only allowing one multiple-touchdown game in that span. Trubisky is on the outskirts of QB1 territory this week.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. New York Jets

It took him some time to get going, but Mitch Trubisky is on a hot streak right now. He has 300+ passing yards in three straight games and has led his team in rushing in two of those games. He put up an incredible 81 yards on the ground last week, while scoring three total touchdowns, making him a legitimate fantasy option.

This week he gets a decent matchup against the Jets. New York has allowed four games of 300+ passing yards, so clearly there's nothing to be afraid of with them. Expect another solid game out of Trubisky as he lingers on the edge of QB1 territory.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New England Patriots

Mitch Trubisky has now put up back-to-back 300-yard games while throwing nine touchdowns in the process. Trubisky got off to a slow start, but he's certainly found a groove now midway through his second season.

He gets a decent matchup this week as New England has struggled against QBs in the past two weeks. The Patriots have allowed 300+ yards in each game, while allowing seven touchdowns. So, when you combine Trubisky's hot streak with the Patriots' cold streak, you'd expect decent production. Trubisky can be viewed as an outside QB1 play.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Miami Dolphins

Mitch Trubisky had a bye week to cool off, but before that game he had the best performance of his career. He threw for 354 yards, six touchdowns and had no interceptions. Oh, and he added 53 yards rushing on top of that. That performance likely went to waste on most league's waiver wires, but it's nice to know Trubisky has that kind of performance in him.

Unfortunately there won't likely be a repeat of that game this week. Trubisky draws a tough matchup against the Dolphins who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points against QBs this season. Miami has only allowed one game of multiple touchdown passes to a QB, and that was to Tom Brady. Trubisky is a below average play this week.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mitch Trubisky hasn't been too impressive as a fantasy option this season. He's only had passing touchdowns in one game so far and his season-high for passing yards is 220. He has more interceptions (3) than touchdowns (2) and has added two fumbles to his turnover total as well.

We'll look to see if he can get it going this week in a favorable matchup against the Bucs. Tampa Bay is tied for the league lead in passing yards allowed. They have also allowed a league-high 77.9 completion percentage to opposing QBs.

Trubisky hasn't shown us much this season, but this is certainly the week to put up a big game if he has it in him. Still, he's not much more than a QB2.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Arizona Cardinals

Mitch Trubisky had a better game in Week 2 than in Week 1. He was more accurate, had more yards and scored more touchdowns. Overall, he looked better. He's still not quite where some had hoped this season, but he's been far from awful.

He should have success this week in a favorable matchup against the Cardinals. Arizona has allowed the eighth-fewest completions, but the sixth-most passing yards in the league. We don't see a monster game coming from Trubisky, but this should certainly be a good performance from the second-year QB.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Seattle Seahawks

Mitch Trubisky got off to a strong start last week, scoring on a two-yard touchdown run early in the game. But he finished with just 171 yards and zero passing touchdowns, while also adding a fumble.

He'll try to bounce back this week against the Seahawks, who no longer are the Legion Of Boom. Seattle gave up 323 passing yards to Case Keenum and the Broncos in Week 1, which means Trubisky definitely has an opportunity for a bounce-back effort.

He's not our favorite play at QB this week, but he's a middle-of-the-road choice for fantasy owners.
