CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Minnesota Vikings

Mitch Trubisky gets a tough matchup against the Vikings this week, who have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. He didn't play well against Minnesota earlier in the year, finishing with 165 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Add on the fact the Bears don't have much to play for in this one, either. They can move up with a win and a Rams loss to the 49ers, but the Rams losing seems unlikely. If L.A. gets up big early there's a chance Matt Nagy can rest Trubisky and the rest of the Bears. Trubisky is a risky option this week.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at San Francisco 49ers

Mitch Trubisky played well last week, finishing with 235 yards and two touchdowns. It was a bounce-back game from his two previous outings which were both duds. Trubisky has been an average option most weeks this season, with a stretch where he was a QB1 putting up big numbers.

He has a chance to reach that territory again this week in a favorable matchup against the 49ers. San Francisco is giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Quarterbacks have a 103.1 QB rating against SF (third highest in the league), so Trubisky should have no problem having success. Honestly the biggest thing hindering him is the Bears getting a big lead and relying on the run more. Still, we like Trubisky as a low-end QB1.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Green Bay Packers

Mitch Trubisky struggled mightily last week, finishing with a season-low 110 passing yards. He scored just once while throwing three interceptions in his worst game of the season. The concern for fantasy owners now is that Trubisky has had under 200 passing yards in three of his last four games.

He also had under 200 yards when he faced the Packers earlier in the year, a team he'll meet up with for a second time this week. Overall the Packers don't have a great defense, but Trubisky's recent struggles concern us a bit. He's just outside of QB1 range this week.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Los Angeles Rams

After taking two weeks off due to injury, the Bears expect Mitch Trubisky to return in Week 14. Trubisky has been solid this season, finishing with four 300+ yard passing games in his 10 starts. He's also been effective as a runner as he has 363 rushing yards on the season.

This week he gets a somewhat favorable matchup against the Rams. L.A. has a good defense, but often times the offense leads to shootouts, and there's a chance of that happening this week. The Rams have allowed five 300+ yard passing games to QBs this season, so Trubisky should be able to find success. We like him as a lower-end QB1.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Detroit Lions

The Chicago Tribune reports there are "plenty of signs" pointing to Mitch Trubisky not playing Thursday vs. the Lions. The Bears QB is dealing with a shoulder injury and did not practice on Monday or Tuesday. We just saw him have a monster game against the Lions (355 yards, 4 total TDs) so if he is healthy enough to play, he should be a good start. He should be viewed as a QB1 if active.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Minnesota Vikings

After two below-average performances in a row, Mitch Trubisky bounced back with a strong game last week. He finished with 355 passing yards (his fourth 300-yard game this season) and three touchdowns (his fourth game with at least three scores). The return of Allen Robinson has clearly been a factor in Trubisky's success.

He gets a fairly tough matchup this week against the Vikings, however. Minnesota has only allowed two passing touchdowns in the last three games while averaging just around 200 yards. In fact, Minnesota has allowed one or fewer scores to QBs in 7/9 games this season. Trubisky can be viewed as a low-end QB1.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

As expected, Mitch Trubisky struggled last week in a bad matchup. He completed just 12 passes, finishing with a season-low 135 yards. He scored just once and had an interception in an overall poor day.

He gets a decent matchup this week against the Lions who have allowed six multi-touchdown games to opposing QBs this season. We've seen Trubisky have success before this season, and really his production comes from the game plan. This could be a pass-heavy game, making Trubisky a QB1 outsider.
