Scouting report

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Mitch Trubisky had had four games all season where he's thrown multiple touchdowns, and two of those games came against the Lions. In fact, 46% of his touchdowns this season have come against Detroit. Unfortunately, Trubisky does not play Detroit this week and instead faces a much tougher matchup against the Cowboys. Dallas is allowing an average of 14.89 fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, and Trubisky is a below-average QB. Trubisky has played better in recent weeks, but there are much better options available in Week 14.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Detroit Lions

Mitch Trubisky had an OK game last week, finishing with 278 passing yards, two touchdowns (one pass, one rush) and two interceptions. It was just his fourth multi-touchdown game, and his first that included a rushing score. He's now scored six touchdowns in his last three games, making him slightly better than he was at the start of the season. But he's still not a great fantasy option. He's never topped 300 passing yards this season and has five games with no touchdowns (out of 10). He does get a great matchup against the Lions this week, however. He had his best game of 2019 against Detroit, scoring three touchdowns. But he had just 173 yards in that contest. Trubisky isn't a terrible choice this week, but he's certainly a below-average option.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants

Mitch Trubisky had another disappointing outing last week, throwing for 190 yards with one touchdown and an interception. Oddly enough, it was his only game of the season where he scored just once. He's had five games with zero scores and three games with multiple scores. He did suffer a hip injury at the end of the game, but he was a full participant in practice and is expected to play against the Giants. This is a favorable matchup for Trubisky, but he's not a great option to trust based on his past. He's not the absolute worst choice, but there should be better options available on waivers.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Rams

Mitch Trubisky had a weird game last week as he wasn't overly productive with just 173 passing yards, but he did throw for three touchdowns. But that three-touchdown game should be viewed as an anomaly considering he had five touchdowns in the seven games before that start. He gets a fairly tough matchup against the Rams this week who have allowed an average of 13.60 fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past four weeks. Since Trubisky is a below-average passer, you can expect even less production than that from him in Week 11. He's not a good start in fantasy.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Mitch Trubisky had one of his worst games of the season last week, completing just 10 passes for 125 yards with no touchdowns. He's now finished with no touchdowns in five of his seven starts this season. He's averaging less than a touchdown per game, which almost seems impossible in today's NFL. He's also never reached 300 passing yards this season. He does get a great matchup against the Lions this week, but it's very hard to trust someone who has played so poorly all season. He's a below-average play at QB in Week 10.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Philadelphia Eagles

Mitch Trubisky had the game you'd likely expect from him last week as he finished with 253 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. Throwing for 253 yards isn't much for a quarterback in today's NFL, and it was actually Trubisky's season-high. He's finished three of his five starts (not including the game he got injured) with no touchdowns this season. He gets a decent matchup against the Eagles this week, but he hasn't proven himself to be a valuable fantasy option. He's a poor choice this week vs. Philly.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Mitch Trubisky returned to the lineup last week and was OK. He finished with 251 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. But it took him 54 pass attempts to get there, and it's unlikely he'll be throwing that much moving forward. Trubisky can be good in fantasy, but he needs a favorable matchup to really make starting him worth it. That's not the case this week as he faces a Chargers defense allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. The Chargers are giving up the fifth-fewest passing yards per game (216.1) so don't expect much from Trubisky in Week 8. He's a weak start.
