MIA RB Mark Walton - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New York Jets

With Kenyan Drake traded and Kalen Ballage being Kalen Ballage, Miami has turned to Mark Walton. This trend was inevitable as the Dolphins continued to give him more touches in recent weeks. In Week 8, Walton played 87% of the offensive snaps, which is the highest number for any Miami running back this season. He wasn't great, though, rushing 11 times for 35 yards and catching three passes for 19 yards. He should be better this week in a better matchup against the Jets, who are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs. Walton should be viewed as a solid RB2 who should get plenty of touches both on the ground and as a receiver.

MIA RB Mark Walton - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Mark Walton appears to be taking over in Miami's backfield. He played a season-high 52% of the offensive snaps last week, leading the team in carries with 14 rush attempts for 66 yards. But while Walton is getting touches, he's getting them in an awful offense. And third-stringer Kalen Ballage has vultured touchdowns away in back-to-back games. Walton is a low-end flex play against the Steelers.

MIA RB Mark Walton - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Buffalo Bills

Mark Walton is an interesting option moving forward for Miami. He played 42% of the team's offensive snaps last week, which is a season-high. The team has gotten him involved in recent weeks and it resulted in him finishing with 75 scrimmage yards in Week 6. His value will go up even more if Kenyan Drake gets traded away. As for now though, fantasy owners should be somewhat skeptical of Walton. His last game was nice, but it came against a bad Redskins defense. He's also on a terrible Dolphins team. He should be viewed as nothing more than a desperation flex play this week against Buffalo.

MIA RB Mark Walton - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Washington Redskins

Mark Walton out-shined Kalen Ballage in Week 4 and appears to have taken over the backup duties behind Kenyan Drake. Walton ran six times for 23 yards and caught two passes for 11. Expect similar usage moving forward, which means Walton isn't worth a whole lot in fantasy.
