Scouting report

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Denver Broncos

Logan Thomas came out of nowhere to lead Washington in targets in Week 1 with eight. He finished the game with four catches for 43 yards, his yardage being the second-highest on the team. Thomas' targets are interesting, but it could just be a Week 1 outlier. For now, we wouldn't really trust Thomas as there are more promising tight end options out there. He's outside the top 20 tight ends for Week 2.

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Cleveland Browns

Out of nowhere, Logan Thomas saw a season-high eight targets last week, finishing 6-35. It was a nice game, but it was kind of random considering he had just six yards the week before. On the season, Thomas is averaging 2.6 receptions for 20.9 yards with one total touchdown. We'd look elsewhere at tight end for Week 17.

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at San Francisco 49ers

Logan Thomas caught just one pass for six yards on three targets last week. In the seven games since returning from injury, Thomas has a total of 12 receptions for 110 yards with no touchdowns. He simply isn't seeing the ball enough to warrant fantasy consideration. He's an easy avoid for Week 16.

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. New York Giants

Logan Thomas was OK his last time out, catching three passes for 20 yards on four targets. Thomas hasn't done a whole lot this season, averaging 2.4 receptions for 21.0 yards per game. He's only finished with more than 20 yards once in his last eight games. We'd find another option at tight end for Week 15 despite the favorable matchup against the Giants (29th aFPA).

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New York Giants

After showing some promise in Week 11, Logan Thomas crashed back to reality with a one-catch performance in Week 12 for seven yards. Thomas does draw a favorable matchup this week against the Giants, but he'd be a risky option given his production so far this season. He'd be a Hail Mary play at tight end this week.

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Logan Thomas had a solid outing last week, finishing 5-65 on six targets. He actually led all Washington players in receptions and receiving yards in the game. It was a nice performance from Thomas, but we wouldn't go rushing to add Thomas to our lineups. He had just 12 total yards in the three previous games combined. He might be worth a speculative add given the shallow nature of tight ends and his past success. But in a Week 12 matchup vs. the Falcons (22nd aFPA) he's a low-end TE2 option.

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Houston Texans

Logan Thomas saw four targets last week, finishing with two catches for 12 yards. Even though Thomas has returned from his injury, he's barely being utilized now in this Washington offense. He's averaging 2.1 receptions for 16.9 yards per game, which isn't very exciting. He can be avoided in Week 11 vs. the Texans.
