BUF QB Kyle Orton - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Orton vs Chiefs

Kyle Orton continues to be efficient and more importantly is helping the Bills win. Last time he as on the field, he only completed 10 passes, but four were for touchdowns. His yardage total was the lowest of the season (238), but you will take the scores any day of the week.

The magic could stop this week as Orton faces his former team Kansas City. The Chiefs are 4th in aFPA to quarterbacks and get tons of pressure with the pass rush which doesn't bode well for Orton who is not very mobile. That factor helps us make an easy decision to keep him on the bench for Week 10.

BUF QB Kyle Orton - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8: Orton vs Jets
Kyle Orton's numbers have been very solid the past three weeks as a starter. The main problem is he has thrown at least one pick in all three games. If he stops throwing those interceptions, it would help his fantasy value.

Orton will face a Jets defense that is ranked 28th in aFPA to quarterbacks. With his top two running backs out, there could be adjustment period for the Bills offense. For Week 8, Orton rates a QB2 and should not be in your starting lineup.

BUF QB Kyle Orton - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7: Orton vs Vikings
Kyle Orton has been solid his first two starts for the Bills. He has definitely been an upgrade over E.J. Manuel. Orton has averaged over 300 yards passing and thrown 3 TD passes. However, he has thrown 2 INTs.

This week, Orton does not have a very good matchup as he will take on the Vikings who are ranked 2nd in aFPA against QBs. Orton might slowly crawl up the QB charts, but it won't be this week. Keep him on the bench for Week 7.

BUF QB Kyle Orton - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6: Orton vs.Patriots
A great Buffalo debut for the veteran Kyle Orton who threw for over 300 yards and completed 70% of his passes. It was definitely an upgrade from E.J. Manuel, at least for one week.

Before you run and pick up Orton and throw him in your starting lineup, you might want to wait a couple more games to see if he can be consistent with that kind of performance.

He will face the Patriots this Sunday, which have been decent against the run. If you do have Orton, keep him on the bench for Week 6 and see how he plays for future reference.

BUF QB Kyle Orton - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5: Orton vs. Bills
If you were looking for a quarterback, Kyle Orton could be an option. The veteran signal caller takes over for E.J. Manuel as the Bills feel he will give the team a better chance to win. Orton has a track record in the NFL as both a starter and backup. He is not expected to turn the NFL upside down, but he could put up some decent numbers.

However, it might not be this week as the Bills face one of the best defenses in football so far in 2014. Detroit has especially been good against the pass.

Orton might end up with some decent numbers for Buffalo, but it is a wait and see. If you are going to pick him up, don't do it for this weekend. He should not start for your team this week.
