ARI RB Kerwynn Williams - Week 20, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

NFC Championship at Carolina
Kerwynn Williams didn’t get to touch the ball last week against the Packers, and it’s doubtful that he’ll get carries this week against Carolina. With David Johnson serving as the bell-cow back, and Andre Ellington in a change-of-pace role, it’s going to take an injury to put Kerwynn into the lineup enough to put up fantasy numbers. He should be avoided in all league formats.

ARI RB Kerwynn Williams - Week 19, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 19 vs. Green Bay
Kerwynn Williams got spot carries behind David Johnson a few times this season, but with Andre Ellington now healthy and Johnson playing lights out, it’s unlikely that Williams will get enough touches to warrant any serious fantasy consideration. He should be avoided in all league formats this week.

ARI RB Kerwynn Williams - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Philadelphia
Kerwynn Williams has gotten some relief work the past couple of weeks behind David Johnson and has looked solid at times, even though he wound up with only two yards last week. He got six carries on the day though and should be good for change-of-pace work. Fantasy owners will need more than that though to warrant starting him, and as long as Johnson remains the starter, Williams should remain on waivers.

ARI RB Kerwynn Williams - Week 18, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Wildcard Weekend – Kerwynn Williams vs. Carolina

Kerwynn Williams got a full workload last week against a tough 49ers run defense, putting up 67 yards on 17 carries. He should have an easier time against the Panthers this week, as Carolina allows over 11 more rushing yards per game than the 49ers and twice as many touchdowns on the ground.

Williams will likely continue to have his workload cut into by Stepfan Taylor, and maybe even Marion Grice, but he seems to get the lion’s share of the carries and we expect that to continue. Outside the top 6 options at the RB position, there are risks all around, but Williams has some potential if you need to rely on a guy in our 7-12 range. We have Williams ranked just inside our top ten this week and is a risk/reward guy with a higher floor than some of the other options this weekend.

ARI RB Kerwynn Williams - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 – Kerwynn Williams vs. San Francisco

Kerwynn Williams had only two carries last week against the Seahawks, and gained only four yards. The entire Cardinals offense struggled against a resurgent Seattle defense, and they won’t have much luck this week either against the 49ers and their seventh ranked run defense.

Williams has some deep league value since he’s been productive when he gets touches. However, he’ll share looks with Stepfan Taylor and his inconsistent workload and the Cardinals struggles on offense make him very risky, and fantasy owners should probably just stay away from Arizona all together.

ARI RB Kerwynn Williams - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 – Kerwynn Williams vs. Seattle

Kerwynn Williams played pretty well against the Rams last week, getting 15 carries and gaining 75 yards to go with a pair of receptions and 11 yards receiving. Williams split carries with Stepfan Taylor nearly 50/50, and it seems likely this will continue to be the case going forward, limiting the fantasy upside of both players.

Against Seattle this week, Williams is likely to get his fair share of carries, but he’ll be facing the league’s fifth ranked rushing defense and top defense overall. The Seahawks have really looked like the defending Super Bowl champs on the defensive side of the ball in recent weeks, and Williams is at best, a low end RB2/Flex option in deep leagues. Fantasy owners would be wise to look elsewhere if possible.

ARI RB Kerwynn Williams - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 – Kerwynn Williams vs. St. Louis

Kerwynn Williams came out of nowhere last week against the Chiefs and rushed for 100 yards on 19 carries. Most expected the carries to go to Stepfan Taylor or Marion Grice, but the rookie Williams out of Utah State ended up being the guy to get the most work.

This week, we still expect an unpredictable time share between the three Cardinal backs, and we like Stepfan Taylor to get more of a role than he did against the Chiefs. Still, the most likely scenario is that they all get work, and Williams’ value will be hurt by the presence of the others. I’d stay away from the Cardinals backfield anyway, with Williams as a very risky low-end RB3. The Rams are a top ten team against the run, and all three backs will likely take away points from each other.
