Scouting report

NE WR Kendrick Bourne - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Las Vegas Raiders

With Jakobi Meyers and DeVante Parker out, Kendrick Bourne tied a season-high with five targets and caught all five of them for 47 yards, his second-highest total of the season. His value hinges on the statuses of Meyers and Parker. If they're both out, Bourne could be worth a look as a deeper flex. Otherwise, he's extremely risky in the playoffs.

NE WR Kendrick Bourne - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs Jaguars

Kendrick Bourne landed on the COVID list prior to Week 16's game against the Bills, but he was able to test out and play in the game and caught two passes for 33 yards. He has been fairly quiet since the bye. The Jaguars are about average against opposing wide receivers, but the Mac Jones continues to spread the ball makes Bourne a continued boom-or-bust play for the finals. He's a deep flex play, but has shown numerous times he can explode in just one play. Jacksonville could be a team that can happen against.

NE WR Kendrick Bourne - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Colts

Safe to say Week 13 is an anomaly for Kendrick Bourne and the entire passing offense. However, it isn't going to be all roses this week. The Colts have been quite good on defense this season, especially against the pass. But Bourne has shown the ability to secure big fantasy days with just one catch. That could happen Saturday. That alone makes him flex-worthy for the playoffs.

NE WR Kendrick Bourne - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Bills

Kendrick Bourne is definitely trending upward lately. And he's doing all this on limited snaps each week. He found the end zone twice last week against the Titans and has at least four catches in five of his last six games. Mac Jones is looking his way when he's on the field. He's quietly been one of the better free-agent signings. Certainly a tough matchup this week however against the Bills, even without Tre White. Being a huge stage for rookie Mac Jones, Bourne's veteran presence will definitely help Jones settle in. He's become a solid flex option in PPR formats.

NE WR Kendrick Bourne - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Titans

Like Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne doesn't see a ton of targets, but he hauls them all in. Against Tennessee, Bourne has a chance for one of his explosive plays and a few more catches. He, like Meyers, is a deep flex option this week with only two teams on a bye.

NE WR Kendrick Bourne - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Falcons

Kendrick Bourne is coming off his best game as a Patriot with 98 receiving yards with a touchdown and 43 rushing yards. He's still hovering only around 3-4 catches a game, but he can explode for a big one at any time. He's a risky play, but certainly boom or bust on a short week against a very up and down Falcons defense that just got shredded on Sunday.

NE WR Kendrick Bourne - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Jets

Kendrick Bourne saw just two targets against the Cowboys. But he sure made one of those targets count. That was the 75-yard touchdown just before the two-minute warning to give the Patriots the lead after Trevon Diggs' pick-six. But overall, Bourne has three or fewer targets in four of six games this season, partly due to Mac Jones spreading the ball around and partly due to being behind Jakobi Meyers in the pecking order on the outside. He just cracks our top-50 receivers, but he's a boom or bust play even in a week with almost a third of the league sitting out.
