Scouting report

TEN WR Kendall Wright - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
The clear-cut top receiver in Tennessee's offense, Kendall Wright should see more than his share of looks. Last season, that meant 93 targets despite missing two games. He should easily top 100 targets if he plays in all 16 games.

Fantasy Downside
Wright's receptions fell from 94 in 2013 to 57 last season as he and Zach Mettenberger never seemed to be on the same page. Marcus Mariota will be the QB this season, but will the rookie be able to find Wright as well?

Bottom line
Wright has long been a guy who is more valuable in PPR leagues, and last season was no different. But he had more down games once Mettenberger was in the lineup. His ADP has been between the 11th and 13th rounds, so you're talking about a bench player here. But he's a bench player with some upside. Rookie QBs tend to fall in love with their most reliable receiver. Wright should bounce back somewhat this season.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Kendall Wright Week 17 vs. Colts
Kendall Wright came back from his hand injury last week to catch four passes for 73 yards. He's the best of a below-average group in Tennessee. But he's still not worth using as anything more than a low-end No. 3 receiving option or a high end flex. Indianapolis has allowed just seven passing TDs at home compared to 19 on the road.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Kendall Wright Week 16 vs. Jaguars
Kendall Wright says he wants to play this week against Jacksonville after sitting out the past two games, but he's still feeling pain every time he catches a pass. Don't count on Wright playing.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Kendall Wright Week 15 vs. Jets
Kendall Wright sat out last week with a cracked bone in his hand and has been limited in practice this week. The fact he is doing anything at practice is a positive sign. But check his status Friday. He's got a solid matchup against the Jets, though a hand injury is worrisome for a wide receiver.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Kendall Wright Week 14 vs. Giants
After having a monster game Sunday (7-132-1), Kendall Wright suffered a fractured bone in his hand in practice Wednesday. He's questionable to play Sunday, but will likely try to give it a go with Justin Hunter now out for the season. The Giants' defense is fourth in adjusted points against opposing wideouts. It's a tough matchup. Check Wright's status and use him as a No. 3 receiver if he does play.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Kendall Wright Week 13 vs. Texans
Kendall Wright has struggled with consistency since Zach Mettenberger stepped into the lineup. Last week he had just one catch for 28 yards, which matches the low-water mark for this formerly high-volume receiver. Houston's pass defense has allowed 15 WR scores this season, so there's some hope here. Start Wright as a No. 3 receiver and hope for a better outcome this week.

TEN WR Kendall Wright - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Kendall Wright Week 12 vs. Eagles
Kendall Wright had a season-high 70 yards on four receptions last week against the Steelers and now faces a Philadelphia defense that has allowed 15 wide receiver touchdown catches this season. Zach Mettenberger looked Wright's way more often last week and seems to be finding a rhythm. Wright should be a solid No. 3 receiver this week.
