BAL K Justin Tucker - Week 19, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Divisional Round – Justin Tucker vs. New England

Justin Tucker did his job last week, hitting on all three of his field goal attempts as the Ravens knocked out the division rival Steelers, earning the right to travel to New England this week to take on the Patriots.

The Pats were eighth in the league this year however in points allowed to opposing teams, and they’ll be playing outside in New England, making weather a factor. Fantasy owners should probably look elsewhere, as we have Tucker near the bottom of our rankings as a result of the location, the matchup, and the general inconsistencies of the Baltimore offense this season.

BAL K Justin Tucker - Week 18, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Wildcard Weekend – Justin Tucker vs. Pittsburgh

Justin Tucker made a pair of chip shots against the Browns last week to finish tied for eighth this year in made field goals with 29. His accuracy was down this year, at 85.3 percent, but that’s largely in part to missing five of nine attempts from beyond 50 yards, including some long shot opportunities exceeding 60 yards.

Tucker is a good kicker facing a tough Pittsburgh defense that slipped a bit this year but will be tough as always at home. This is usually a tough battle, and the game could come down to the kicking game, which bodes well for Tucker. Fantasy owners should consider him a solid option in all league formats.

BAL K Justin Tucker - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 – Justin Tucker vs. Cleveland

Justin Tucker had a disappointing day, along with the rest of the Baltimore offense, against the Texans, finishing with only one extra point on the day and no field goal attempts. Tucker has been good all season, but the Ravens struggled heavily against an amped up Houston defense.

Tucker should do better against the Browns this week, who are without key starters on the back end of their defense and who allow yards but not a lot of touchdowns to opposing teams. Tucker’s consistency this year and a better matchup make him a solid option for fantasy owners still playing in Week 17.

BAL K Justin Tucker - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 – Justin Tucker vs. Houston

Justin Tucker was two of four on field goals last week against the Jaguars, drilling two chip shots, and missing two others, each from 54 yards. Despite his departure from accuracy last week, Tucker is still one of the best kickers in the league, and the Ravens offense is good enough to give him opportunities.

This week, he faces a tough Houston defense, but should still get enough chances to score. He’s been a solid week-to-week fantasy starter, and we have him as a top ten option for championship week.

BAL K Justin Tucker - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 – Justin Tucker vs. Jacksonville

Justin Tucker didn’t get a field goal attempt against the Dolphins last week, but he made all four extra point attempts as the Ravens took care of Miami and kept their division title hopes alive.

This week, Tucker has a nice matchup against the Jaguars, who rank in the bottom five in both points allowed per game, and in points to kickers allowed per game. Tucker is a nice, consistent fantasy option who should be active in all leagues this week, and is a solid week-to-week option in general.

BAL K Justin Tucker - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 – Justin Tucker vs. Miami

Justin Tucker was fantastic last week, making all four field goal attempts and all three extra points. True, his longest kick of the day was from 33 yards, but Tucker has been extremely reliable for the Ravens and is tied for fifth in the league in field goals.

Tucker has a tough matchup this week against a Dolphins team that is sixth in the league in points allowed. He’s still a solid option week-to-week, but if you have the roster space to look elsewhere for this matchup, it might be a good idea to do so. We have him ranked just outside fantasy starter territory.

BAL K Justin Tucker - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 – Justin Tucker vs. San Diego

Justin Tucker made both of his field goal attempts last week against the Saints, including a 55 yarder that helped extend the Ravens’ lead to two scores early in the fourth quarter. Tucker continues to prove he has a strong, accurate leg, and he now ranks sixth in the league with 21 made field goals on the season.

This week against the Chargers, Tucker should be in for another steady performance. The Chargers have struggled with injuries on both sides of the ball, and the Ravens offense has looked sharp lately. Tucker is one of the few kickers worth a weekly start, with no need to take a fantasy committee approach.
