MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Detroit Lions
Justin Jefferson had his worst game of the season in Week 3 against the Lions when he faced off with Jeff Okudah (and plenty of double teams) and only netted three catches for 14 yards. It will be incredibly difficult for the Lions to repeat their defensive effort against Jefferson a second time in Week 14, especially with Okudah now missing practice due to an illness. The Lions still have one of the league's worst pass defenses, and Jefferson managers should not be discouraged off a single-game sample from over two months ago. Jefferson is an elite talent and gets a great matchup this week. He is a locked-in WR1 and one of the top plays at his position against Detroit on Sunday.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. New York Jets
The Patriots were Justin Jefferson's latest victim on Thanksgiving when he burnt them for nine catches, 139 yards, and a touchdown on 11 targets. Through 12 weeks, Jefferson ranks top-five at his position in: targets, receptions, receiving yards, yards after the catch, and fantasy points per game. Week 13 sets up an awesome showdown between Jefferson and the Jets' rookie phenom at cornerback, Sauce Gardner. Sauce has shown plenty of juice at the pro level even as a rookie, but Jefferson is more than a handful for any corner in the league. This is a difficult matchup, but no one in their right mind is benching Jefferson in fantasy.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New England Patriots
Justin Jefferson had a slow day in Week 11 as the Vikings got completely boat raced by the Cowboys and eventually pulled their starters in the second half. Jefferson's 3-33-0 line is obviously a deviation from his normal production, and the Vikings are not likely to get dominated to the same extent by the Patriots in Week 12. The Patriots still boast a solid defense and have been slightly above average against opposing receivers this season, but that is not the type of matchup to cause concern for a player of Jefferson's caliber. Shake off the Vikings' miserable Week 11 performance and keep Jefferson in starting lineups as a no-doubt WR1 for fantasy.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Dallas Cowboys
Justin Jefferson has had some huge games in 2022 but his Week 10 performance against the Bills topped them all. Jefferson toasted Buffalo's strong defense for a 10-193-1 line on 16 targets. One of his 10 receptions was an all-time great catch where he snagged the ball out of a defender's clutches with one hand and somehow kept it from hitting the ground with virtually no leverage whatsoever. Oh, and the catch converted a critical 4th-and-18 to extend Minnesota's drive. Jefferson and the Vikings get a somewhat difficult matchup against Trevon Diggs and the Cowboys this week, but Diggs has been prone to allowing big plays at times and Jefferson clearly has the ability to overcome any matchup concerns. Jefferson is one of the best playmakers in the NFL regardless of position and is an every-week top-five WR option in fantasy.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Buffalo Bills
Justin Jefferson finally returned to the end zone (through the air) in Week 9 on his way to a 7-115-1 line on 13 targets. Jefferson ranks seventh amongst wide receivers in target share at 30%, and he's currently sitting at fourth in receptions and second in receiving yards through nine weeks of the season. Jefferson gets one of his tougher matchups this week as the Vikings have to travel to Buffalo to face the Bills' elite defense. It would help Jefferson's projection if Josh Allen suits up for the Bills, which would set that game up to be a potentially high-scoring affair. Regardless of who plays Sunday, Jefferson is a weekly WR1 who should always be started regardless of matchup.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Washington Commanders
Justin Jefferson's 6-98-0 line in Week 8 was a relatively quiet performance for one of fantasy's best wide receivers. That just goes to show what kind of floor Jefferson has as an elite talent who commands a 30% target share from Kirk Cousins. In Week 9 Jefferson and the Vikings will travel to Washington to take on the Commanders and their terrible pass defense. Jefferson should have no issues getting separation against the post-trade deadline remnants of Washington's secondary, and he is due for some serious touchdown regression at this point as both of his receiving scores came way back in Week 1 (he has ran a touchdown in since then). Week 9 presents a great matchup for Jefferson to find the end zone again through the air, and he sets up as a high-end WR1 as usual against the Commanders.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Arizona Cardinals
Justin Jefferson comes off the Vikings' bye week on a streak of three straight 100-yard games and now gets to tee off on the Cardinals' soft secondary in Week 8. Jefferson's fantasy season has been a smashing success so far outside of two slow games, and he currently ranks fifth in receptions and third in receiving yards amongst wide receivers even having already had his bye week. Jefferson's 30% target share against Arizona's corners adds up to a massive projection this week. There really isn't much more to say. Keep Jefferson in lineups as your WR1 and enjoy the show.
