Scouting report

CIN RB Jeremy Hill - Week 16, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Houston
Jeremy Hill had a very good first half against Pittsburgh scoring a touchdown, but ended up with only 43 rushing yards. He did have 21 touches, but the end result wasn't as good as it could have been. Hill did bang up his knee, but he did return during the Steelers game and is expected to play Saturday.

Hill has a pretty good matchup against Houston, who is 26th in aFPA to running backs. The touches have been there for him since Giovani Bernard went down. Despite the fact the Bengals aren't playing for anything, Hill is a good play as a high-end RB2 for Week 16.

CIN RB Jeremy Hill - Week 15, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Pittsburgh
Jeremy Hill ripped off 111 yards against the Browns last week, reaching the century mark for the second time this season (with the other performance also against Cleveland). The problem for Hill is that he's not playing the Browns again this season. That said, he does have back-to-back games with a rushing touchdown (and 53 touches over the last two games).

Hill ran the ball 11 times for 22 yards the last time the Bengals played the Steelers back in Week 2, but the matchup is favorable as Pittsburgh is only 20th in aFPA to running backs. If Hill can get the touches again this week, he is a serviceable fantasy back for Week 15. Start him as a RB2 against the Steelers.

CIN RB Jeremy Hill - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Cleveland
The snap count finally went up for Jeremy Hill to 57% last week, which was expected with Giovani Bernard out for the season. However, that didn't happen two weeks ago, so there was some head-scratching. Hill did get the higher snap count though, and he also got 25 touches. That's good news for his owners, though the overall fantasy numbers weren't great.

Hill has a great matchup this week against the Browns, who are 31st in aFPA to running backs. The weather should be snowy, which means an emphasis on the ground game. Plus, Hill ran for 168 yards and a touchdown in the earlier meeting this season. Start Hill as a solid RB1 for Week 14.

CIN RB Jeremy Hill - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Philadelphia
In his first game without fellow running back Gio Bernard, Jeremy Hill still played less than 50 percent of the snaps and only carried the ball 12 times for 21 yards. He was more involved in the passing game with six receptions for 61 yards (his total touches were still 18, which you can live with). The fact Rex Burkhead was on the field more is puzzling.

The Bengals face the Eagles this week, who are 10th in aFPA to running backs. We thought Hill's stock would rise with Bernard's injury, but it didn't happen last week. So, we will be cautious for Week 13 and rate Hill as a solid RB2 against Philly.

CIN RB Jeremy Hill - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Baltimore
Jeremy Hill has been getting less than 50% of the snaps almost every week, but with Giovani Bernard out for the season, that should change. Hill is going to have to carry more of the load and although he was already the primary ball carrier, he now should get more snaps which equals more touches.

This week that might not matter. The Bengals are on the road and face the Ravens who are ranked second in aFPA to running backs. Even though Hill will get touches, it will be tough for the Bengals offense overall. Start Hill as a low-end RB2 for Week 12.

CIN RB Jeremy Hill - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Buffalo
Jeremy Hill continues to play less than half the snaps, but is still getting the bulk of the carries. He rushed 15 times for 46 yards last week against the Giants, but did score a touchdown for the third straight game. The Bengals haven't hidden what they like to do. The prefer Bernard on the field, but when they want to run, Hill is the primary ball carrier.

Hill will face the Bills this week, who are 14th in aFPA to running backs. Because Hill is the primary back on the goal line, this increases his value and the recent touchdowns back this up. Start Hill as a low-end RB1 for Week 11. Even with the snap count being low, he is still getting touches.

CIN RB Jeremy Hill - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New York Giants
Jeremy Hill continues to be the primary ball carrier for the Bengals averaging 13 carries and 64 yards per game. He is still splitting time with Giovanni Bernard which limits his touches at times. The bye week was probably good for Hill who has suffered a chest injury several weeks ago and should be fresh going into Monday night.

The Giants are the next opponent and are 20th in aFPA to running backs. Hill will get between 15 and 20 carries so he has some value. Start Hill as a low-end RB2 for Week 10.
