GB RB Jamaal Williams - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Detroit Lions

Jamaal Williams had a strong game as expected, last week, gaining 95 yards and a touchdown on the ground and adding six receptions for 61 yards against a soft Jets defense. The Lions will provide a little more resistance, at least on the ground, but Williams should get 20-plus touches again this week, which puts him in solid RB2 range with RB1 upside.

GB RB Jamaal Williams - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at N.Y. Jets

With Aaron Jones ailing, Jamaal Williams stepped in and gained 55 yards and a touchdown on 12 rushing attempts at Chicago last week. Jones is now on injured reserve, so Williams gets to show if he can handle full running back duties again. And he won't have to share any touches. He also had four catches for 42 yards, both season highs. He has a much easier matchup this week against the Jets, so feel free to start Williams at a high-end RB2.

GB RB Jamaal Williams - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Miami Dolphins

Jamaal Williams played second fiddle to Aaron Jones last week, getting nine touches compared to 16 for Jones. He produced 34 yards on seven carries and two receptions for 20 yards, so it wasn't bad production. Playing against a soft Miami run defense, Williams isn't in play for a regular starting spot, but he's worth a shot as a flex play, especially considering Jones lost a key fumble last week against the Patriots. Another fumble this week could land Jones on the bench and mean a more prominent role for Williams.

GB RB Jamaal Williams - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New England Patriots

Jamaal Williams got just four carries against the Rams last week and gained only nine yards, but did vulture a TD from Aaron Jones. With Ty Montgomery now out of the picture, Williams should have value as a short-yardage back and perhaps even in the passing game, since he's a better blocker than Aaron Jones. Don't use him as anything more than a flex option this week.

GB RB Jamaal Williams - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at L.A. Rams

Jamaal Williams continues to lead the Packers in snaps played in the backfield. The problem is that he's being used more as a blocker on passing plays than anything else. That's not going to be enough for you to be useful. Williams is probably the least-useful player in this three-headed backfield.

GB RB Jamaal Williams - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Jamaal Williams posted six carries for 33 yards and two catches for 19 yards last week. But at some point, even Mike McCarthy is going to have to concede Aaron Jones is the more dynamic runner. Williams is nothing more than a low-end flex option in an ugly three-headed backfield situation.

GB RB Jamaal Williams - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Detroit Lions

Jamaal Williams matched Aaron Jones with 11 carries last week, but while Jones produced 65 yards and a touchdown, Williams gained 27 yards. Moving forward, you can expect Jones to grab more and more of the backfield share in Green Bay. Williams' day as a viable fantasy option now are tied to the Jones getting hurt -- or at least that should be the case. He shouldn't be in your lineup.
