Fantasy Upside
Jamaal Williams will head into the season as the No. 2 back in Green Bay's offense behind Ty Montgomery. When James Starks previously held that role, he was typically good for 5-0 carries per game. Remember, too, that Montgomery hasn't been a running back for a full season. Williams could wind up being a top handcuff.
Fantasy Downside
Williams is unproven at the NFL level and the roles aren't clearly defined in Green Bay just yet. There are enough question marks here to possibly keep you from pulling the trigger.
2017 Bottom Line
Williams appears to be the best bet to back-up Montgomery, which would give him some value. But unless Montgomery falters or is injured, it won't be enough to help you on a week-to-week basis. Keep him on your radar, especially if you draft Montgomery.
