Scouting report

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Bills

With Kendrick Bourne on the reserve/Covid list, Jakobi Meyers could step back into the WR1 role for the Patriots. Mac Jones targeted Meyers 12 times against the Colts and he caught six of them for 44 yards. Meyers has been a very good pass-catcher this season. You can almost always bank on him catching about five passes in a game. If Bourne can't go, Meyers is going to see a lot of work.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Colts

Week 13 was only the second game this season with less than four catches for Jakobi Meyers. Of course, that's going to happen when your quarterback only throws the ball three times. This week, he faces a strong secondary in Indianapolis. And there's still the black cloud of him only having one touchdown catch this season. With all 32 teams back in action, Meyers gets pushed down the board, coming in at No. 46 on our half-PPR board.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Bills

Jakobi Meyers continues to post solid weekly catch numbers, He now has 11 games with at least four catches and six games with at least five catches. In fact, he posted a season-high 98 yards last week against the Titans. But, alas, he still only has the one touchdown this season, And against the Bills, it wouldn't be a surprise for that number to stay at one. So even with the constant catch rate, Meyers is still nothing more than a flex play, especially with Kendrick Bourne cutting into Meyers' ceiling.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Falcons

He did it! He really did it! Jakobi Meyers finally got the monkey off his back and scored his first career NFL touchdown. Will he make it two in a row? He keeps getting plenty of snaps. He's just not as explosive as Kendrick Bourne but constantly out-snaps him. It will be a fun watch, to say the least. For now, Meyers is still a mere flex option if you have to.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Browns

Will Jakobi Meyers ever catch a touchdown pass? Who knows? But he has nowhere to go but up from last week's performance of one catch for eight yards. It was his first game this season with less than four catches. Meyers doesn't even crack our top 40 WRs. I don't blame you if you've already cut bait on Meyers due to frustration.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Panthers

At this point with Jakobi Meyers, you're almost content with settling for a few catches and about 40-50 yards. That's ok for a flex play, especially with four teams on a bye. Knowing he's the receiver that constantly sees the most targets at least gives him some upside, but not a ton.

NE WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Chargers

Jakobi Meyers continues to see the most snaps and most targets for the Patriots each week. But it's understandable if you get frustrated with the lack of output. And this week may be more of the same. The Chargers are our No. 1-ranked matchup defense against wide receivers. It could be another ho-hum 5-50 line for Meyers. He's just inside our top 40 wide receivers.
