OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Denver Broncos
UPDATE: Tyrell Williams will play in Week 17

In Week 16, Renfrow exploded with seven receptions on nine targets, 107 yards, one touchdown, 36 air yards, 30% of the team targets, 26% of the team air yards, and finished as the half PPR WR6.

The Raiders are motivated to win because they still have a slim chance of making the playoffs. A lot of pieces would have to fall into place but it is still mathematically possible.

Tyrell Williams missed practice on Thursday with ongoing issues caused by plantar fasciitis. Monitor Williams’ status closely because Renfrow could receive a boost if Williams is ruled out. The Denver Broncos are the tenth worst defense against wide receivers, per our schedule adjust fantasy points metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Renfrow ranked as the half PPR WR53 but his projection could change after Williams’ status is finalized.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Los Angeles Chargers
Hunter Renfrow missed the last three games with a broken rib and a punctured lung. Evidently three weeks is long enough to recover from these injuries because he is set to return this week.

The Los Angeles Chargers are the second-best defense against wide receivers, per our schedule adjust fantasy points metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Renfrow ranked as the half PPR WR68 and is not in play for championship matchups.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Jets
In Week 11, Renfrow saw his snaps drop to 44% but was still able to produce a decent fantasy performance. He had five receptions on six targets, 66 receiving yards, 43 air yards, zero touchdowns, 21% of the team targets, 23% of the team air yards, and finished as the half PPR WR30.

Starting a wide receiver with a snap percentage around 50% is very risky but Renfrow can be a desperation PPR start against a porous Jets defense. They are second to last against wide receivers, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Renfrow ranked as the half PPR WR55 and full PPR WR51.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
In Week 10, Renfrow played 53% of the snaps, had four receptions on five targets, led the team with 42 receiving yards, 46 air yards, zero touchdowns, 16% of the team targets, 25% of the team air yards, and finished as the half PPR WR45.

The Bengals are thirteenth worst against wide receivers, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Renfrow ranked as the Half PPR WR49. The Raiders have the highest implied team total, 29.75 points, this week. He is still touchdown dependent and a risky start but he could continue to benefit from Waller and Williams receiving extra attention.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Renfrow has scored in consecutive weeks and is taking advantage of opponents paying more attention to short yardage receiving threat, Darren Waller, and deep threat, Tyrell Williams. In Week 9, Renfrow finished with six receptions on seven targets, 54 yards, 45 air yards, one touchdown 23% of the team targets, and 17% of the team air yards.

The Chargers are eleventh best against wide receivers, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Renfrow ranked as the Half PPR WR50. He is touchdown dependent and a risky start but he could continue to benefit from Waller and Williams receiving extra attention.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Detroit Lions
Renfrow shook off a couple of tackles and got loose for a 65-yard touchdown. He finished with four receptions on four targets, 88 yards, 14 air yards, one touchdown 13% of the team targets, and 5% of the team air yards. Renfrow is a capable slot receiver but Carr’s favorite target short yardage target is still Darren Waller.

4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Renfrow ranked as the Half PPR WR51 and is a very risky start with an extremely low floor.

OAK WR Hunter Renfrow - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Houston Texans

In Week 7, he had two receptions on three targets, 14 yards, 10% of the team targets, and 11% of the team air yards. Tyrell Williams is expected to play, which means Renfrow is not worth a starting spot in fantasy lineups.
