Scouting report

PIT TE Heath Miller - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Heath Miller Week 15 vs. Falcons
Heath Miller caught just one pass last week, but it was a 1-yard TD. He also caught a two-point conversion pass. Atlanta has been very good against opposing tight ends this season and has given up just two TDs to the position this season. You can probably do better than Miller this week.

PIT TE Heath Miller - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Heath Miller Week 14 vs. Bengals
Heath Miller caught eight passes for 82 yards last week on a team-high 14 targets. A similar amount of targets could be coming this week against a Cincinnati defense that has been tough on opposing wideouts but soft on tight ends. The Bengals are allowing an average of 62 yards per game to tight ends and four of their 12 TD passes given up have been to the position. Miller has been up and down this season, but he could be a decent low-end fantasy start this week.

PIT TE Heath Miller - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Heath Miller Week 13 vs. Saints
Heath Miller is second on the Steelers in receiving yards, but he's been wildly inconsistent. He had 71 yards on five receptions the week before the Steeler's bye, but had just four catches in the two games before that. Considering New Orleans has given up just five TE receptions in its past three games, Miller doesn't appear to be a strong start this week.

PIT TE Heath Miller - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Heath Miller Week 11 vs. Titans
Heath Miller caught all three of the passes thrown his way last week for 29 yards as he spent most of the game blocking. With the emergence of Martavis Bryant as Pittsburgh's No. 2 downfield option and LeVeon Bell also stealing receptions, there's not enough scraps remaining for Miller to be much of a fantasy play.

PIT TE Heath Miller - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Heath Miller Week 10 vs. Jets
A week after going over 100 yards and scoring, Heath Miller got just a couple of targets and had one catch for 14 yards. But apparently, the Jets don't cover any opposing tight end in the red zone. New York has given up 24 TD passes, 11 of which have gone to opposing tight ends. Miller could be a sneaky start this week.

PIT TE Heath Miller - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Heath Miller Week 9 vs. Ravens
After catching just six passes in the previous three weeks, Heath Miller exploded along with the rest of the Pittsburgh offense, catching seven balls of 112 yards and a score. The touchdown came on his 500th career reception. He has a tough matchup this week against Baltimore, which limited him to four catches for 35 yards in their first meeting, so don't get your hopes up too much for an encore performance of last week.

PIT TE Heath Miller - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Heath Miller Week 8 vs. Colts
Heath Miller has just six receptions in the past three games since catching a career-high 10 passes against Tampa Bay. Part of the reason for that is because he's better against zone coverage and the Steelers haven't seen a ton of it. The Steelers will want to get the ball out of Ben Roethlisberger's hands quickly against an aggressive Colts pass rush. That means Miller could see his targets increase this week. Miller could be a sneaky bye-week fill-in.
