Scouting report

STL K Greg Zuerlein - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Zuerlein vs. Chargers
Greg Zuerlein was five-for-five on field goal attempts and one-for-one on extra point tries in the Rams’ Week 11 win over the Broncos. If you happened to buy low on Zuerlein in daily leagues, you were greatly pleased with the output. But Zuerlein continues to have little fantasy value in season-long leagues because of St. Louis’ inconsistent offense. If you’re in need of a bye week option, look elsewhere.

STL K Greg Zuerlein - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11: Zuerlein vs. Broncos
Greg Zuerlein was two-for-2 on extra point attempts in the Rams’ Week 10 loss to the Cardinals. He has a big leg but is inconsistent and plays for a woefully inept offense. Avoid him in all formats.

STL K Greg Zuerlein - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Zuerlein vs. Cardinals
Greg Zuerlein was 1-for-1 on extra point attempts and 2-for-2 on field goal tries in the Rams’ Week 9 win over the 49ers. His 39-yard field goal with 5:25 remaining in the game served as the game-winner for St. Louis as he bounced back from a 38-yard miss a week earlier in Kansas City. Zuerlein has a big leg but his opportunities are few and far between thanks to the Rams’ struggling offense. There are likely better options available on your waiver wire if you’re in need of a kicker.

STL K Greg Zuerlein - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9: Zuerlein vs. 49ers
Greg Zuerlein missed his lone field goal attempt and was one-of-one on extra points in the Rams’ Week 8 loss to the Chiefs. The miss was from 38 yards so there’s some growing concern about Zuerlein’s efficiency. It’s unlikely that the Rams will replace him after investing a sixth round pick in him just three years ago, but any more missed field goals between 30-40 yards and the team could bring in some competition. Avoid him in fantasy leagues.

STL K Greg Zuerlein - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8: Zuerlein vs. Chiefs
Greg Zuerlein missed his lone field goal attempt but was 4-for-4 on extra point tries in the Rams’ Week 7 win over the Seahawks. Zuerlein has a big leg and spends most of his weeks kicking indoors but the Rams’ offense is too sporadic for him to hold much fantasy value. Search for better options if you need a kicker this week.

STL K Greg Zuerlein - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7: Zuerlein vs. 49ers
Greg Zuerlein was 1-of-1 on field goals and 2-of-2 on extra point tries in the Rams’ Week 6 loss to the 49ers. Given how inconsistent St. Louis’ offense is, Zuerlein isn’t a steady fantasy starter and should be avoided in all leagues.

STL K Greg Zuerlein - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6: Zuerlein vs. 49ers
Greg Zuerlein was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra point attempts in the Rams' Week 5 loss to the Eagles. While he certainly isn't a horrible option, Zuerlein just doesn't have much upside as a fantasy player. He ranks as our No. 25 overall kicker for Week 6 and should be avoided.
