GB WR Geronimo Allison - 2018 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

Geronimo Allison is pushing hard to be the No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in Green Bay, which has been akin to fantasy gold over the years. He's gained the trust of Aaron Rodgers, which is a big deal when it comes to winning that job.

Fantasy Downside

At this point, nothing is set in stone. And Allison has done little over the course of his first two NFL seasons, pushing the Packers to select three young receivers in the draft.

2018 Bottom Line

Allison is looking like he will open the season as the guy on the field with Randall Cobb and Davante Adams. If he can play more consistently, he might be able to hold on to the job. But consistency has been an issue in his short NFL career. He has caught just 35 of the 69 balls targeted at him in his previous two years. But Allison is certainly somebody to keep an eye on in the remainder of this preseason and in the later rounds of your draft.

GB WR Geronimo Allison - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Chicago Bears

Subbing for an injured Randall Cobb last week, Geronimo Allison caught 6 passes for 122 yards. But that will happen when you play with a great quarterback. It appears Cobb will be back this week. Don't jump in on Allison. It's looking like he could be a one-week wonder. Jump off of Geronimo.

GB WR Geronimo Allison - Week 20, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

NFC Championship at Atlanta
Allison had three catches on five targets for 46 yards last week while subbing - a little - for Jordy Nelson. Allison is dealing with a hamstring injury, however, and Nelson could be back in at least a limited role this week. Atlanta's pass defense has a tendency to give up some deep stuff, and Allison could fill that role if the hamstring tests out. But he's a risky play.

GB WR Geronimo Allison - Week 19, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Divisional Round at Dallas
Geronimo Allison should see an increased role this week if Jordy Nelson sits out as expected with his fractured ribs. Allison saw two targets last week and managed one catch for eight yards. But Allison averaged a healthy 16.8 yards per catch on his 12 receptions this season. You know Aaron Rodgers is going to go deep a few times, so Allison could be a high-risk, high-reward start this week, particularly in yardage leagues.
