Scouting report

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Los Angeles Rams

Geno Smith now has five straight games with at least two touchdown passes and nine games out of 11. So when Smith throws a touchdown in a game, he'll likely throw a second. He gets the Rams this week, who are still quite banged up and have the season lost at 3-8. Smith remains a low-end QB1 heading into the fantasy playoffs.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Geno Smith went into the bye week on a stretch of four straight games with multiple touchdown passes. It's almost a foregone conclusion that he'll make it five straight, going up against one of the worse defenses in the NFL in the Raiders, who are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Geno Smith makes for a great daily fantasy option this week, let alone in weekly leagues.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Germany

Geno Smith continues adding to his case for Comeback Player of the Year. 275 yards last week against the Cardinals were his most since Week 4 and he marked his third straight multi-touchdown game and 7th this season. His rushing ability only boosts his value. He's again a low-end QB1 this week, even with facing the Buccaneers in Germany. Smith has shown no signs of slowing down anytime soon, so keep rolling with him.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Arizona Cardinals

The magical season continues for Geno Smith, who now has six games with multiple touchdown passes and has also added some yards on the ground. This week, he gets the Cardinals, ironically enough, one of the teams he has not thrown multiple scores against. He had just 197 yards through the air with no touchdowns in Week 6 against Arizona, but did add 48 yards on the ground. The good news for Smith is that Arizona ranks 23rd in pass defense in DVOA, so a multi-touchdown game again has a good chance of happening for Smith. He can still be rolled out as a starter.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. New York Giants

How incredible has this season been for Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks? This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Seahawks. Instead, Smith is having the season of his life and the Seahawks lead the NFC West through seven weeks. Smith now has five games with at least two touchdown passes in a game and five games with at least 70% completions. His lowest completion percentage in a game this season is 64%. This week, he face one of the other big surprises, the 6-1 New York Giants, who rank 26th against the pass in DVOA. Smith takes care of the football and will get the ball to his guys, though he likely won't have DK Metcalf this week. He still has Tyler Lockett so Smith should still be fine.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Los Angeles Chargers

Week 6 was Smith's first game without a touchdown since Week 2, but that should only be a minor dip against a Chargers defense that is banged up, inconsistent, and benched their prized free-agent acquisition, J.C. Jackson, during Monday's win against the Broncos. Smith is still worthy of a start this week as he continues to take care of the football (only two interceptions in six games).

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Who could have ever thought we'd see the day Geno Smith would be a top-ten fantasy option? That's the case for us this week with Smith, who has thrown multiple touchdowns in three straight games, though his streak of 300 yards in a game came to an end. Still, Smith is taking care of the football and has gotten into a groove with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Arizona ranks 27th in pass defense DVOA, so another strong day could be on the horizon for Smith. Despite the reports that Drew Lock is supposedly nipping at Smith's heels, Smith isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
