BUF WR Gabe Davis - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New England Patriots
It has been a confusing season for Gabe Davis managers as you just don't know which fantasy receiver you are going to get. Last week, QB Josh Allen turned to Isaiah McKenzie which left Davis with only four receptions for 38 yards. It's risky to leave him out of the lineup because he is capable of having big games in the Bills offense, but you are getting these stinkers as well.

Davis faces the Patriots for the first time this season. He had two touchdown receptions in the two games he played against them last season, although the other numbers were average at best.

Start Davis as a WR3 or Flex for Week 13. The New England defense hasn't been great against the pass, but Davis is a tossup every week to which direction he is going to go.

BUF WR Gabe Davis - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Detroit Lions
In a game where the Bills relied more on the running game, Gabe Davis still put up good numbers. He caught five passes for 68 yards and was the most targeted Buffalo player for the game. Davis has been playing well and his fantasy stock has risen over the past month.

Next up are the Lions who are ranked 29th in aFPA to wide receivers. This is a great matchup for the Buffalo passing game so we expect better numbers overall.

Start Davis as a high-end WR2 for Week 12. He actually might get you WR1 numbers if the targets go his way.

BUF WR Gabe Davis - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cleveland Browns
Gabe Davis had a season-high 10 targets against the Vikings last week. It also produced a season-high six receptions and his second-highest receiving-yard total of the season. Davis also scored his fifth touchdown of the season. These numbers are great, but are probably what most managers were expecting from him on a regular basis in the Bills offense this season.

Buffalo faces Cleveland who is ranked 18th in aFPA to wide receivers. So, with a slightly favorable matchup at home, we like Davis to have another solid game this week. Start him as a solid WR2 for Week 11 although he could reach his numbers from last week if he gets double-digit targets again.

BUF WR Gabe Davis - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings
We continue to believe Gabe Davis will prosper as the Bills' No. 2 receiver, but the numbers at the halfway point are discouraging. In his past two games, he only had two receptions for 33 and 35 yards, respectively. Those numbers are more consistent with his weekly performance than the couple outings where he did put up quality numbers.

Davis faces the Vikings who are ranked 25th in aFPA to wide receivers. With a favorable matchup, we would expect for him to upgrade those numbers for Week 10. However, there is now a question if QB Josh Allen will even play.

Start Davis as a high-end WR3 or Flex. If Allen doesn't play, he drops to a fringe starter. Keep an eye on injury developments heading into the weekend.

BUF WR Gabe Davis - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New York Jets
It's puzzling how Gabe Davis isn't putting up better numbers as the Bills No. 2 receiver. He has averaged less than three receptions per game and only had two last week for 35 yards despite being targeted seven times. The targets are encouraging but the production is not.

Davis faces the Jets who are ranked 8th in a FPA to wide receivers. Against the Jets last year, he had a total of six catches in two games, but one of those games was a 100+ receiving yard day.

Davis ranks as a WR2 for Week 9 even with the tough matchup. He still is getting targeted but needs more catches to keep him solid in that ranking. We think he has better results this week.

BUF WR Gabe Davis - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Green Bay Packers
The main thing holding Gabe Davis back this year is the amount of targets he is receiving. We understand Stefon Diggs is going to get the most targets of any Buffalo player, but is seems Davis has been left out a little more than expected. He averages just over 5 targets per game and that has limited his production to just over 75 yards per game which was really affected by the one big game he had against Pittsburgh. Where he has cashed in is touchdowns. He has four so far this season in the five games he has played.

Davis faces the Packers who are ranked 8th in aFPA to wide receivers. Despite the tough matchup, Green Bay is struggling on defense at times. Start Davis as a solid WR2 and hope he gets more targets his way because he will produce.

BUF WR Gabe Davis - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Kansas City Chiefs
Gabe Davis only had three receptions last week but they went for a whopping 173 yards against a bad Steelers defense. That included two touchdown receptions which doubles his previous total in just one game.

Davis will face the Chiefs who he had a career game against last season in the playoffs. He had eight receptions for 200 yards and four touchdowns. Kansas City is ranked 24th in aFPA to wide receivers so the defense isn't much better if at all.

He won't repeat those numbers from the playoffs as we expect KC to pay more attention to him this time around. However, he still ranks a solid WR2 for Week 6. Should be plenty of offense in this one.
