DET RB Dwayne Washington - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Chicago
In the loss to the Packers last week, the Lions got behind early and ended up throwing the ball 41 times. Dwayne Washington was given 10 carries for 38 yards, and was (by far) the best ball carrier on the day. Theo Riddick will remain the starter and see more touches, especially in the passing game, but the rookie will definitely be given a chance to show what he can do, particularly in short-yardage situations. If you’re in need of an RB due to injuries or bye weeks, Washington could be a spot-start against a bad Chicago run defense.

Week 3 at Green Bay
Now that Detroit is without Ameer Abdullah for the remainder of the season, Dwayne Washington steps in as No. 2 RB on the team and will split carries with Theo Riddick. Last week against Tennessee, Dwayne ran for 31 yards, with 28 of those yards coming on one rush. Theo will likely see around 15 carries per week, with Washington getting around 10. The rookie is definitely worth a pick up, but it may be wise to keep him on your bench since Riddick should receive more touches, for now, and the Pack run defense has been outstanding.
