Scouting report

IND TE Dwayne Allen - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Dwayne Allen - Week 11 vs. New England

Dwayne Allen is a touchdown machine. He's caught a touchdown in all but two games this season. That is amazingly consistent. Even better is he's facing a Patriots defense that's allowed a touchdown to a tight end in three consecutive games.

Allen doesn't get many yards, but he's usually a good bet to score, making him a borderline TE1 option most weeks.

IND TE Dwayne Allen - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Dwayne Allen - Week 9 vs. New York Giants

All Dwayne Allen does is catch touchdowns. Literally, it's the only thing he did last week against Pittsburgh. He had one catch for 21 yards and his sixth touchdown in eight games. Even with Reggie Wayne out and Andrew Luck throwing for over 400 yards, Allen had just two targets.

He's a good bet to score, but if he doesn't find the end zone he could be a big bust. He'll go up against a Giants defense that's allowed two touchdowns to the TE position in back-to-back games. Allen is a borderline TE1.

IND TE Dwayne Allen - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Dwayne Allen - Week 8 vs. Pittsburgh

Another game, another touchdown for Dwayne Allen last week. He's now caught a touchdown pass in five out of seven games this season. And outside of Week 2 he's remained fairly consistent with his receiving yards.

Allen isn't the type of player to put up huge numbers, but he's always a threat to score. His connection with Andrew Luck in the red zone makes him a borderline TE1 option.

IND TE Dwayne Allen - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Dwayne Allen - Week 7 vs. Cincinnati

Dwayne Allen has four touchdowns through six games and is third on the team in receiving yards. He's become a nice surprise so far. He'll look to continue his strong season this week against Cincinnati.

The Bengals are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. Allen is a low TE1 in a favorable matchup.

IND TE Dwayne Allen - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Dwayne Allen - Week 6 vs. Houston

Dwayne Allen has at least 38 yards and a touchdown in four of his five games this season. Usually I would say you can't rely on a player catching a touchdown every week, but Allen has been pretty consistent so far.

This week he'll face a Texans defense that has only allowed one touchdown to an opposing tight end this season.

Allen should be used as a low TE1 option. He's a bit of a boom-or-bust play weekly, but such is the nature of the TE position.

IND TE Dwayne Allen - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Dwayne Allen - Week 5 vs. Baltimore

Dwayne Allen has caught a touchdown in three out of four games this season. Outside of his touchdown receptions, he hasn't done a whole lot. And this week he'll go up against the Ravens who have been the stingiest against the position. Baltimore has only allowed 12 total receptions to tight ends all season and haven't allowed a touchdown.

Allen is only valuable if he scores a touchdown.

IND TE Dwayne Allen - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Dwayne Allen - Week 4 vs. Tennessee Titans

Dwayne Allen took advantage of the Jaguars' inability to cover the tight end and finished with a 4-43-1 stat line. The touchdown was his second of the season.

Allen has been inconsistent so far. He has two games with touchdowns and one game without a single reception. This week he goes against a tough Titans pass defense. He isn't a strong option this week.
