Scouting report

NE WR Demario Douglas - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Jacksonville Jaguars (in London)

The arrow has been steadily pointing up for Demario Douglas in recent weeks. In back-to-back games, he has seen nine targets and caught six balls. In Week 6, these brought him 92 yards and his first receiving touchdown of the season, giving him 18.2 Half-PPR points, good for WR10 for the week.

The elevation of Drake Maye to the starting role would seem to be good news for all the Patriots pass catchers, which is handy with a Week 7 clash against the Jaguars ahead. The Jaguars rank 32nd in aFPA to wide receivers this season, making Douglas a WR3 option with room for quite a bit more this week.

NE WR Demario Douglas - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Buffalo Bills

Demario Douglas caught five passes for 74 yards as he has become sort of the de facto WR1 in New England. He's become one of Bailey Zappe's favorite targets in the last few weeks. Of course, Buffalo has become the team no one wants to face. On the other hand, Douglas did have 54 yards when the teams first met in Week 7. He has a chance for another solid game, but he shouldn't be considered more than just a flex this week.

NE WR Demario Douglas - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Denver Broncos

Demario Douglas returned last week after missing two games with a concussion. He saw five targets, catching three for 33 yards. He was on the field for 38 of New England's 53 snaps against Kansas City. He should return to being one of the top options for Bailey Zappe. In a four-game stretch from Weeks 6-9, Douglas saw at least six targets. The offense as a whole remains limited. As such, Douglas is limited to being a borderline flex option.

NE WR Demario Douglas - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Giants

Demario Douglas has been on a nice stretch over the past few weeks. He has at least 50 yards in three of his last four games with 4-6 catches over that stretch. He's become the top target on the outside for the Patriots. The question is who will be throwing him the football this week? The Patriots have been very quiet on that front but we expect it to still be Mac Jones. Regardless, the quarterback situation makes Douglas a flex play at best.

NE WR Demario Douglas - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Indianapolis Colts (Germany)

Demario Douglas has worked his way onto the fantasy radar and may now arguably be the wide receiver to own in New England. He now has 14 catches in his last three games and has reached 50 yards in two of those games. Being the top fantasy wide receiver in New England isn't saying too much, but Douglas will at least get you catches. That's good enough to make himself a borderline flex option in a week with four teams on a bye.

NE WR Demario Douglas - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Washington Commanders

Demario Douglas has quietly worked his way into the mix in the Patriots offense and could start making more noise now that Kendrick Bourne out for the season with a torn ACL. Douglas has nine catches in the last two weeks. He may not quite be a starter just yet, but he’s working his way up.
