CHI WR Darnell Mooney - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Green Bay Packers

After an 11-target game in Week 9, Darnell Mooney had a 2-target game in Week 10, finishing with two receptions for three yards. Mooney is averaging 3.3 receptions for 35.1 this season, with just two games above 50 yards receiving. He's pretty consistent for around 30-40 yards, but typically doesn't do much more than that. He's a poor fantasy option this week, especially in a tough matchup.

Week 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Darnell Mooney saw a team-high 11 targets last week, which is also a season-high for the rookie. He finished 5-43, giving him two games in a row with five receptions. Mooney is starting to get involved in the offense, but his poor catch percentage (57.4%) is holding him back. He's someone who can get you a handful of catches for ~50 yards and not much more. Expect that type of production this week in a favorable matchup against the Vikings where we like Mooney as a low-end WR3.

Week 9 at Tennessee Titans

Darnell Mooney had his best game of the season last week, setting a season-high in receiving yards with a nice 69. He also scored his second touchdown of the year while matching his season-high in receptions (5). The biggest takeaway was Mooney playing 93% of the snaps, topping his previous high of 81% (set the week prior). Mooney is starting to get more involved in this offense, and has entered the picture in deeper leagues. He's not much more than a WR4, but his upside is more promising now. He draws a favorable matchup against the Titans this week (No. 24 aFPA).

Week 8 vs. New Orleans Saints

Darnell Mooney actually led the Bears in targets last week with seven, but finished 3-40. Mooney has probably been more involved in the Bears' offense this season than many anticipated, but he hasn't been too productive from a fantasy standpoint. He's averaging 3-33.7 per game with just one touchdown on the season. He's mostly off of the fantasy radar.

Week 7 at Los Angeles Rams

Darnell Mooney is the Bears' second-most productive wide receiver, placing second on the team in receptions (18), receiving yards (196) and targets (30). He's had production in each game, but enough to the point where he'd be a reliable fantasy option. He's not much more than a WR5 with a low ceiling in a tough matchup against the Rams (No. 2 aFPA) this week.

CHI WR Darnell Mooney - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Atlanta Falcons

Darnell Moody finished 3-38-0 in Week 1 and 3-36-1 in Week 2. He also saw a bump in playing time last week, going from 32% of the offensive snaps in Week 1 to 60% in Week 2. We wouldn't start him this week, but he's a player to keep your eye on moving forward.
