SF QB Colin Kaepernick - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Colin Kaepernick Week 17 vs. Cardinals
Colin Kaepernick's passing has been off this season. Of that there is now doubt. But he can still run - when he's so inclined. Last week, he added a season-high 151 yards and a touchdown to augment his 114 passing yards and a score. If only he had done that all season. The 151 yards on the ground were more than he had run for in his previous six games combined. It's been a wasted season for Kaepernick and the San Fran offense. There's no reason to put him in the lineup this week.

SF QB Colin Kaepernick - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Colin Kaepernick Week 16 vs. Chargers
It was another sub-200-yard passing game for Colin Kaepernick last week who had just 146 and no touchdowns. He did have a 46 yards rushing, his most since the opening month of the season, but there's been too little production from Kaepernick to be even a mediocre fantasy play. That's especially true against a tough San Diego pass defense.

SF QB Colin Kaepernick - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Colin Kaepernick Week 15 vs. Seattle
The wheels are coming off for Colin Kaepernick. Last week he threw for just 174 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Opponents are keeping him from scrambling, as well. And considering he has to go to Seattle this week - who held him to 121 yards passing a couple of weeks ago, there's no reason to play Kaepernick this week.

SF QB Colin Kaepernick - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Colin Kaepernick Week 14 vs. Raiders
Colin Kaepernick threw for a season-low 121 yards with two interceptions last week and added only 17 yards rushing on three attempts. Let's face it, he was awful. And he hasn't been great all year. But he faces a struggling Oakland pass defense this week that has allowed 22 touchdown passes. At this point, you shouldn't expect big numbers out of Kapernick. But he won't be as bad as last week, either. But this has been a disappointing season and there's no reason to run him out there in a playoff week unless you are lacking better options.

SF QB Colin Kaepernick - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Colin Kaepernick Week 13 vs. Seahawks
How mediocre has Colin Kaepernick been as a passer this season? He mustered just 256 passing yards in his eighth game with just one TD pass against Washington's horrid pass defense last week. The Seahawks are getting their pass defense mojo back after some early struggles. Seattle has held five of its past six opponents under 200 yards passing and has allowed just five TD passes in that span. There are far better QB options than Kaepernick this week.

SF QB Colin Kaepernick - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Colin Kaepernick Week 12 vs. Redskins
Colin Kaepernick had just 193 passing yards and a score last week against the Giants in an uninspiring effort. He also had 24 rushing yards on eight carries, but has only topped that total once in the past month and a half. Washington has allowed 20 TD passes this season, which provides a juicy matchup, but the 49ers have been playing things close to the vest. Kaepernick is a solid, if unspectacular start.

SF QB Colin Kaepernick - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Colin Kaepernick Week 11 vs. Giants
Coming off another so-so game with 210 yards and a touchdown, perhaps Colin Kaepernick will find a way to throw for more than one TD in a game. He's thrown multiple touchdown passes in just three of nine games, which would be OK if he were picking up some rushing TDs or yards. But he's had 24 or fewer rushing yards in four of the past five games. The Giants have given up some big passing yards and TD passes at times this season, but it's usually been against top-rated QBs or passing games. San Francisco's is not that. And after Seattle ran all over the Giants last week, it could be more of the same here.
