Week 4 at Pittsburgh
Charcandrick West provided some positives in the first two weeks, but offered nothing of substance last week. He'll get a good matchup against the Steelers in Week 4, but he's a very risky play considering his lack of touches. He's off the fantasy radar.

Week 2 vs. Houston
Charcandrick West went backwards on his three carries, but he did have six catches for 24 yards in Week 1. Some of that was due to circumstance as the Chiefs had the throw the ball more than usual, but it appears West has a slight role in this offense.

Having said that, Ware is clearly the guy to own in Kansas City with Jamaal Charles gone. West might contribute here and there, but not enough to make him fantasy relevant.

Week 19 at New England

For the second game in a row, Charcandrick West became the lesser half of Kansas City’s backfield committee. While Spencer Ware was carving up the Houston Texans for 67 yards and a touchdown, West was held to 26 yards on eight carries. The player that emerged as a fantasy superstar at one point during the season has seemingly morphed into a fantasy scrub.

However, West is the kind of player that you do not want to underestimate, even when he is slumping. He could pick up the pace again quickly, especially since Ware has been dealing with a sprained ankle and missed some practices this week. There is also a decent chance Kansas City will go to the ground as much as possible if star receiver Jeremy Maclin is not at full strength, which is likely to be the case. Nonetheless, when you combine New England’s top ten run defense with West’s current lack of momentum, he is a dicey flex option.
