Week 5 vs. Detroit Lions

With Mac Jones still looking unlikely for this week, it's looking like the first career start for rookie Bailey Zappe, the NCAA's all-time single-season record holder for passing yards and touchdowns. Zappe stepped in last week for an injured Brian Hoyer and became the first rookie quarterback to throw a touchdown pass this season (though it probably should have been blown dead for delay of game). The Patriots will likely keep things simple for Zappe again, as they did last week, so we shouldn't expect too much from him, though he is facing the league's worst scoring defense in the Lions.
