GB WR Allen Lazard - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Philadelphia Eagles
Allen Lazard saw 11 targets in Week 11 and obviously remains a big part of the Green Bay passing game, but Lazard's 2022 fantasy value has largely depended on his red zone production, meaning it is at least slightly concerning to see rookie Christian Watson be a clear focal point near the end zone in the Packers' last two games. Watson has five touchdowns in that span and has been given a larger role in the wake of Romeo Doubs' injury. Lazard is still playing a ton and clearly has Aaron Rodgers' trust, meaning he is still a WR3 option despite a couple slow weeks. The Eagles present a difficult matchup for opposing passing games, but the Packers will likely need to pass for extra volume this week as big underdogs on the road.

GB WR Allen Lazard - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Tennessee Titans
Allen Lazard had a tough week facing off with Trevon Diggs even as the rest of the Packers had a productive week overall. Lazard still played 96% of the snaps on Sunday, but he only saw four targets and caught three of them for 45 scoreless yards. The good news is Lazard is set to get a much easier matchup this week against the Titans, who have struggled to slow down opposing wideouts this season. The Titans currently rank as the second easiest matchup for opposing wide receivers in our schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. Lazard has a 21% target share on the season and has been one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite red zone targets. He is a solid WR3 with WR2 upside in a good matchup this week.

GB WR Allen Lazard - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Dallas Cowboys
Allen Lazard was the only Packer to produce a decent fantasy day in Week 9 against the Lions, even if it was inefficient. Lazard caught 4-of-10 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown in the loss, but will face a much stiffer defense in Week 10 as the Cowboys and their strong defense travel to Lambeau Field. Lazard could be in store for additional volume this week as the Packers are underdogs and Romeo Doubs looks like he will miss time with a high-ankle sprain. That being said, the Packers will likely struggle to move the ball against the Cowboys barring a sudden uptick in offensive prowess, making Lazard and all of the other skill-players low-floor options. Lazard can be started as a WR3 or flex, but he carries serous risk being part of a mediocre offense in a difficult matchup.

GB WR Allen Lazard - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Detroit Lions
Allen Lazard is back at practice in a limited fashion, setting him up to return in Week 9 in a prime matchup against the Lions' terrible defense. Lazard has kept his head above water this season by catching four touchdowns in six games despite the Packers' general offensive struggles. Lazard will have a great chance to return to the end zone in Week 9 as the Packers should have little issue moving the ball against Detroit. Monitor Lazard's injury designation on Friday, but he makes sense as a WR3 play this week given the great matchup and Aaron Rodgers' tendency to look for him near the goal line.

GB WR Allen Lazard - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Washington Commanders
Allen Lazard was the lone Packer to have to have a decent fantasy performance in Week 6 when he saw nine targets and posted a 4-76-1 line against the Jets. Randall Cobb is now injured, meaning Lazard and rookie Romeo Doubs are really the only wide receivers of note in Green Bay. Those two will split targets with Robert Tonyan and some limited involvement from the running backs, making Lazard a decent WR3 bet most weeks due to weak target competition and his involvement in the red zone with four touchdowns in five games played. Lazard has a good matchup this week against a weak Washington secondary, which places him firmly in the flex conversation for Week 7.

GB WR Allen Lazard - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. New York Jets
Allen Lazard is not seeing the type of volume that we hoped for in the offseason when Davante Adams departed Green Bay. While no one expected Lazard to replicate Adams' role, Lazard's 19.2% target share is lower than expected based on the offensive depth chart. Lazard has only exceeded four catches once this season and has logged 45 or fewer yards in three out of four games played. Lazard's fantasy production has been heavily reliant on his three touchdowns, which always presents a concern for sustainability over the course of a season. Lazard remains a fantasy WR3 because Aaron Rodgers looks for him in the red zone, but his weekly floor is very low in Green Bay's run-first offense.

GB WR Allen Lazard - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New York Giants (London)
After taking a backseat to rookie Romeo Doubs in Week 4, it was Allen Lazard who erupted in Week 5. Doubs and Lazard tied for the team lead with eight targets, but Lazard caught six of them for 115 yards while Doubs only managed 47 yards on his five catches (but also found the end zone). The Packers passing game was the source of a lot of offseason uncertainty, but it appears to have settled with a concentrated target distribution focused on Doubs, Lazard, and the running backs with Christian Watson and Robert Tonyan serving smaller roles than anticipated. Both receivers should have opportunity to produce against a middling Giants defense in Week 5. Lazard is a solid flex play against New York on Sunday.
