Week 17 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Not what Alvin Kamara fantasy owners wanted to see last week, as he totaled just 35 yards on 14 touches. If you're still alive with Kamara, you get a matchup against the Buccaneers in Week 17. Kamara's first game back from suspension was against the Bucs in Week 4. He had 11 rushes for 51 yards and 13 catches for 33 yards. The Saints really need Kamara here as the Saints are in a must-win situation at 7-8. Kamara is still an RB1 for the week especially with all the passing-game work he continues to get.
Week 16 at Los Angeles Rams
Another day, another 100-yard performance for Alvin Kamara. He went over 100 total yards for the 6th time this season and added another five receptions, giving him 68 for the season. The Saints need Kamara is what almost amounts to a playoff game Thursday as the 7-7 Saints visit the 7-7 Rams. That should amount to another strong fantasy day and help push his owners into championship weekend.
Week 15 vs. New York Giants
Somehow, Alvin Kamara ended up with negative-11 yards on three catches last week against the Panthers. But he still rushed for over 50 yards and another touchdown in the Saints’ win. The offense flows through Kamara, especially given all the injuries the Saints have. Kamara is too talented and gets enough opportunities to keep him as one of the top fantasy options heading into the playoffs. Plus, the Giants haven’t exactly been the best at stopping the run this season.
Week 14 vs. Carolina Panthers
With the Saints needing to rally early against the Lions, Alvin Kamara did what he could to get the Saints back in the game. Especially with the injuries at wide receiver, Kamara was once again a key part of the passing game. As a result, he totaled 109 yards with two touchdowns and had six catches, bringing his total to 60 for the season. And that was with being suspended for the first three games. One of those games was against Carolina, so Kamara will see the Panthers for the first time. But you have to believe Jameis Winston will be looking for Kamara often.
Week 13 vs. Detroit Lions
119 total yards on 19 touches in Week 12 for Alvin Kamara, including four catches for 50 yards. Kamara continues to show why he is among the elite options this season. He has at least four catches in six straight games and will be relied upon even more with the Saints very banged up at wide receiver. The offense could really flow through Kamara this week against the Lions. Expect plenty of receiving work out of the backfield for Kamara this week.
Week 12 at Atlanta Falcons
Alvin Kamara remains an excellent PPR running back. Another seven catches two weeks ago against the Vikings gives him 50 in just seven games. His lack of carries over the past few weeks can be attributed to the Saints playing from behind often. He may have a better chance for more carries against the Falcons. In any event, Kamara is still one of the best options you can have. You're not benching him anytime soon.
Week 10 at Minnesota Vikings
The downside from Week 9 is that Alvin Kamara only mustered 26 rushing yards on nine carries. The upside is he added another 44 yards receiving on four catches. Chicago is also pretty good against the run. Minnesota is too, but with how New Orleans tries to feed the offense through Kamara, there's no reason to worry about him in your lineup. Kamara should be just fine.
Week 9 vs. Chicago Bears
Say hello to your No. 1 running back for this week. Chicago may be allowing the third-fewest rushing yards per game, but this is Alvin Kamara we’re talking about. A good chunk of the offense runs through him. He has three straight weeks with 100 total yards and there’s a good chance he does so again against Chicago.
Week 8 at Indianapolis Colts
Many running backs don’t reach 35 catches in a season. Alvin Kamara has done so in four games. He has two games already with at least ten catches. Kamara has quickly returned to being one of the elite options in fantasy football. Roll with the hot hand this week against the Colts.
Week 7 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Alvin Kamara is back as a top-notch fantasy option. The offense definitely runs through Kamara. He's been seeing about 25 touches per game since returning from suspension. He is on a short week and faces a good Jacksonville defense, but Kamara gets a lot of work and does plenty with that work to be a solid RB1 option, like in the old days.
