MIN QB Kirk Cousins - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Chicago Bears

The Vikings are locked into the No. 6 seed of the playoffs, so they have nothing to play for in Week 17 against the Bears. It's unclear whether Kirk Cousins will even play at all, but he is active, we'd expect him to play only a few drives. Considering Minnesota's plan for Cousins isn't clear, it'd be smart to not even think about playing him.

MIN QB Kirk Cousins - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Green Bay Packers

Kirk Cousins unsurprisingly struggled last week in a tough matchup, finishing with 207 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Part of that was a bad matchup, but another part was Minnesota's defense playing so well that Cousins didn't need to pass much. He may be relied on more this week as Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison are both expected to be inactive. It'll be a tough matchup against a Packers defense allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, but we still like Cousins as a lower-end QB1 play.

MIN QB Kirk Cousins - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Los Angeles Chargers

Kirk Cousins was OK last week, finishing with 242 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Minnesota mostly relied on the run last game as they finished with 39 rush attempts compared to Cousins' 30 passes. Don't be surprised to see another down outing from Cousins this week as he gets a brutal matchup against the Chargers, who are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Cousins still has QB1 value based on the production we've seen from him this year (and the fact he could get Adam Thielen back), but he's on the lower end of that scale.

MIN QB Kirk Cousins - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Detroit Lions

Kirk Cousins had another solid outing last week, finishing with 276 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He threw the ball 38 times, which tied a season-high, as Minnesota dealt with the absence of Dalvin Cook following his injury. Cousins has played well, scoring at least two touchdowns in seven of his last eight games. His production should continue this week as he faces a terrible Lions defense which has given up the third-most passing yards to quarterbacks. Based on his production and the matchup, Cousins should be viewed as a strong QB1 option in Week 14. He already put up QB1 numbers when he played the Lions earlier this season, finishing with his best game of the season: 338 yards, four touchdowns.

MIN QB Kirk Cousins - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Seattle Seahawks

Kirk Cousins had to take over last week as Minnesota found itself down big early. He delivered with 319 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. It was his fourth 300-yard game and fourth game with at least three touchdowns this season. It was also his ninth game with no interceptions thrown. He gets a tougher task this week against the Seahawks, but Cousins has been too productive to avoid now. He should be viewed as a solid QB1 option for Week 13.

MIN QB Kirk Cousins - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Denver Broncos

Kirk Cousins was OK last week, finishing with 220 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He was working without Adam Thielen, so those numbers weren't terrible considering the circumstances. He'll likely be without Thielen again this week in a tough matchup against the Broncos. Denver is allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, an average of 11.11 points per week. Cousins has been a strong option for most of the year, but without one of his top options against a tough defense, you should expect below-average numbers from Cousins. He's a safer choice than a lot of other quarterbacks, but there are other options likely available.

MIN QB Kirk Cousins - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Dallas Cowboys

Kirk Cousins had another solid outing last week, finishing with 220 yards and three touchdowns. This was despite his strong WR duo of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs finishing with a combined one reception. But he may take a bit of a fall this week against the Cowboys as Dallas is allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Cousins is also expected to be without Adam Thielen, which complicates things. Cousins should be viewed as a lower-end QB1 play in Week 10.
