Los Angeles Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein expects to play Sunday in Super Bowl LIII despite a left foot sprain.
NFL Network reported Monday that Zuerlein, the only known noteworthy injury on either team, made progress during the idle week since making the game-winning 57-yard field goal to help Los Angeles beat the Saints in the NFC Championship game. Zuerlein nailed that kick with the injury to his plant foot, which was incurred at halftime of the Rams’ win at New Orleans.

Well, Greg Zuerlein is a kicker. So there's that. That being said, our projections make him the highest-scoring kicker in the NFL for 2019. Well, Greg Zuerlein is a kicker. So there's that. He's the highest-ranked kicker by ADP, which virtually guarantees you will have to devote a pick to the position earlier than you should want to. Zuerlein has also had a herniated disc, a groin injury, and a foot injury in the past two seasons.
2019 Bottom Line
If the rest of your league also follows the ideal path and waits until the final two rounds to draft a kicker, there could be an opportunity to attain value if Zuerlein is there in the next-to-final round. There is simply too much week-to-week variance at the position to reach for kicker earlier.
