March Madness Second Round Bets: Saturday 3/18

The first round of March Madness was incredible. 13-seed Furman pulled off the upset over 4-seed Virginia in a stunning fashion. After trapping Kihei Clark in the backcourt, they intercepted a pass and drilled a three to take the lead with only three seconds remaining.

We won both the first half under and Furman +6.5 in that game, getting us off to a hot start with our bets for the NCAA tournament. We’ll be giving our best bets every day of the tournament, initially released in the discord but with daily articles as well.

We have been betting on college basketball sides, totals, and player props in our discord for months but are excited to start pumping out more articles. We have Greg (@GHsportsandTech), a professional player prop bettor, Shane (@Sjacksonbet), a knowledgeable college basketball handicapper, and myself all throwing in bets with write-ups. March Madness Second-Round Bets: Saturday, 3/18

Duke-Tennessee under 128.5 (-110 at DraftKings)

Without starting guard Zakai Ziegler, Tennessee has scored 70, 71, 70, and 58 points in the first round against Louisiana Lafayette. Now they run into the best defense of any of those games in Duke, who has been playing defense at a top-10 level since February and is 15th in adjusted defense regardless. They looked borderline lost at times offensively in the first round and could struggle to score here again. Duke has been solid offensively but is still elite defensively, ranking 2nd in adjusted defensive efficiency. With Tennessee’s recent offensive woes and strong defense, this could be a slugfest. Kenpom has this at 125, and Torvik has this at 123, and I’m not even sure that truly factors in how dysfunctional Tennessee’s offense is.
