Week 14 vs. New England
Ryan Griffin was in the end zone for the second straight game last week against the Bills. He finished with three grabs. 29 yards and his second TD of the season. Thirty of Brian Hoyer’s 43 pass attempts went to his top WRs, but since he returned to action four weeks ago, Griffin has 12 catches for 143 yards. He should only be started if you’re out of other TE option, however.
Week 13 at Buffalo
What a breakout performance Ryan Griffin turned in last week against a bad New Orleans defense. He collected four receptions, 72 yards and his first TD of the season. Since returning to the lineup three weeks ago, Ryan has nine grabs for 114 yards. He has become a nice option for QB Brian Hoyer, but despite the strong game versus the Saints, should not be started against the Bills.
Week 12 vs. New Orleans
T.J. Yates threw 34 times last week versus the Jets, but Ryan Griffin finished with just two grabs for six yards. There has to be a better fantasy option for your starting TE.
Week 11 vs. New York Jets
Playing in his first game since Week 1, Ryan Griffin was targeted six times by Houston QBs last Monday versus the Bengals. He finished with three grabs for 36 yards. With T.J. Yates at the helm this week, expect him to look for his TEs more on check downs. However, there are better TE choices for your fantasy team than Griffin.
Week 17 – Ryan Griffin vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Ryan Griffin caught three passes for 25 yards in the win over Baltimore last Sunday. He has just nine grabs and one TD on the season. Griffin caught a 25 yard pass in the win over the Jags in Week 14, but there’s no way he should be started this week.
Week 16 – Ryan Griffin vs. Baltimore Ravens
Garrett Graham has missed the last two games, but Houston just isn’t utilizing its TEs much this season, regardless who is at QB. Ryan Griffin finished last week’s contest at Indy with only two receptions for 11 yards. There has to be a much better option for you at TE, especially with Case Keenum now the signal caller.
Week 15 – Ryan Griffin vs. Indianapolis Colts
Even with Garrett Graham out last week versus the Jaguars, Ryan Griffin caught just one pass – for 25 yards. He should not be started this week.
Week 14 – Ryan Griffin vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
On three targets last week, Ryan Griffin finished with one catch – but it was an eight yard TD, his first of the season. Even with the score, there is no reason for Griffin to be taking up a fantasy roster spot.
Week 12 – Ryan Griffin vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Of Ryan Mallett’s 30 pass attempts last week in the victory over the Browns, starting TE Garrett Graham saw two targets, while Ryan Griffin did not receive a pass. Griffin should not be on any fantasy rosters.
Week 11 – Ryan Griffin vs. Cleveland Browns
None of the Houston TEs have done much this season. There is no reason for Ryan Griffin to be on your roster.
