Week 17 vs New York Jets
Mike Gillislee made the most of his nine carries, rushing for 93 yards and touchdown. Fellow running back Karlos Williams played twice as many snaps to frequency is a concern. One thing to keep in mind is Williams did lose a fumble and if that happens early Sunday, Gillislee could see more carries.
The matchup favors the Jets in the running game as they are 8th in aFPA to running backs. Gillislee still has some value as an RB3 or flex. Two touchdowns the past week is a good indication that he will get opportunities in the red zone.
Week 16 vs Dallas
Mike Gillislee has carried the ball 14 times over the last three games and those numbers could improve this week with LeSean McCoy out. Gillislee is not pegged to be the starter, but should be the primary backup for Karlos Williams. One thing to keep in mind is that Williams is questionable and if for some reason he can't go, Gillislee moves up in the rankings.
For now, Gillislee should still be on your bench because we still expect limited carries, but keep an eye on Williams status on Sunday.
