Marqise Lee Week 14 vs. Texans
Marqise Lee had his best game as a pro last week, catching six passes for 75 yards and a touchdown, his first as a pro. Lee is a nice sleeper play in deeper leagues this week against a very soft secondary. But with rookie Blake Bortles, who has struggled at times, there's some danger to the play.
Marqise Lee Week 13 vs. Giants
Marqise Lee had three catches for 52 yards last week, his best performance since Week 1. That's not saying much. Just say no thanks.
Marqise Lee Week 12 vs. Colts
Marqise Lee had six receptions in the season opener for Jacksonville and has seven catches since. The only reason he gets a look this week is because Allen Robinson is out for the season. He should only be on the radar, not in your lineup.
Marqise Lee Week 8 vs. Miami
Being the No. 3 receiver in Jacksonville has added up to three receptions the past two weeks. You can do better than Marqise Lee this week in a tough matchup with Miami.
Marqise Lee Week 6 vs. Titans
Marqise Lee is getting closer to a return, but he's missed the past three weeks, so he's a risky play at this point.
Marqise Lee Week 3 vs. Colts
After a solid start in Week 1 (6-62), Marqise Lee was limited to two catches for 11 yards last week as he was dealing with a hamstring issue. That issue is still bothering him, but he played through it last week. Even so, he's probably not worth anything more than a low-end flex start this week, even in a game in which the Jaguars should be forced to throw quite a bit.
Marquise Lee Week 2 vs Redskins
Be careful here. Marquise Lee suffered a hamstring injury in practice this week. See if he practices Friday before putting him in the lineup. If Cecil Shorts can play, that would hurt his value as well. Lee had a solid six receptions for 62 yards last week, but three of those catches came in the closing minutes.
Marqise Lee Week 1 vs. Eagles
Rookie receivers often have their struggles. But Lee is going to get plenty of opportunities with everyone else either suspended or injured. The Jags figure to trail in this game, so that could mean a decent amount of targets. But not enough to make Lee anything more than a low-end flex option.
Fantasy Upside
Marqise Lee will likely open the season as a starter in Jacksonville opposite Cecil Shorts.
Fantasy Downside
Jacksonville's offense isn't exactly dynamic and Lee has struggled at times in the preseason.
Bottom Line
With Ace Sanders suspended to open the season and fellow rookie Allen Robinson sidelined throughout much of the preseason with injuries, Lee has had an opportunity to grab this job by the neck. He hasn't been great, but he's shown flashes. As a starter with some upside, he might be worth stashing deep on your bench. He was dynamic in college two years ago before injuries slowed him in his final season.
