JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Marqise Lee had 8 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown last week. It was his first score of the season. If you could count on more of that, he'd be a solid play each week based on his catch volume over the past month. With touchdowns through the air being tough to come by in the Jacksonville offense, Lee is a WR3 with a little more value in PPR leagues. Lee also is dealing with a knee issue but is trending in the right direction.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Marqise Lee is starting to pick his game up. He had 4 catches for 72 yards two weeks ago against Indianapolis and now has 9 catches for 155 yards in his past two games. But he has yet to score. And he's dealing with a knee injury that could slow him down a bit against a solid Cincinnati pass defense. Use him as a WR3 this week and hope he gets into the end zone.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Indianapolis Colts

Lee caught 5 passes for a season-high 83 yards but again failed to score, which leaves him without a touchdown this season. The Colts have given up at least 177 yards to opposing receivers in 5-of-6 games this season, but have given up just 4 touchdowns to the position. Lee is dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of practice Wednesday and Thursday, so check his Friday practice status. He's a WR3 in a decent matchup.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. L.A. Rams

Marqise Lee got 4 targets last week and turned them into 2 catches for 49 yards. He now has just 4 receptions in the past two games and is dealing with a rib issue that kept him from practicing on Thursday. He should play this week but the Jaguars don't want to throw the ball unless they have to. Considering the Rams are last in the league against opposing running backs, that might happen. Use Lee as a flex play only.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Lee caught just 2 passes for 18 yards last week against the Jets and has been dealing with a rib issue all week. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, which isn't promising. But Lee does lead the Jaguars in targets since Week 2. The Steelers have a top-notch pass defense, but will give up some underneath catches. Keep an eye on Lee's status Friday, but even if he plays, he's not likely worth anything but a flex start.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at N.Y. Jets

Marqise Lee had 4 catches for 65 yards and leads the Jaguars in targets. He's got 11 catches for 141 yards the past two weeks since Allen Robinson went down, and is going to get enough looks to use each week at least as a WR3 or flex option, particularly in PPR leagues. It doesn't appear he's ever going to be a big scoring option but the Jets have allowed 5 WR touchdowns already this season.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Baltimore Ravens (game in London)

Marqise Lee finished last week with double-digit targets and 7 catches for 76 yards. He looks to be the Jaguars' top receiving option, even though Allen Hurns finished with more yards and a touchdown last week. But Lee looks like the Jacksonville receiver to own. That said, Lee has a tough matchup this week against Baltimore, but his volume of targets should put him in line as a WR3.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Tennessee Titans

Marqise Lee failed to catch a pass on three targets last week, but the Jaguars only attempted 21 passes the entire game. The good news is that his targets were downfield, and with Allen Robinson done for the season, Lee should benefit greatly. The Titans allowed a pair of wide receiver touchdowns last week on 16 receptions. Lee hasn't been a big touchdown guy early in his career, but he could be a decent flex option this week.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Houston Texans

The good news is Marqise Lee isn't on the injury report this week with the ankle injury that dogged him in the preseason. The bad news is that he has a tough matchup awaiting with the Texans. The worse news is that Blake Bortles is still his quarterback. Lee isn't a touchdown threat—he scored just three times all of last season. His value comes in PPR leagues, but he might not get enough volume this week to matter. Keep him on your bench.

JAX WR Marqise Lee - 2017 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

After two injury-plagued seasons, Maqise Lee finally emerged as a fantasy factor in his third season as Jaguar, posting a 63-851-3 line on 105 targets. He has established himself as a starter in Jacksonville, something he had not done previously.

Fantasy Downside

Injuries were a big issue in his first two seasons. Can he shake those issues two years in a row? He's also clearly not the No. 1 target in an offense that also includes running back Leonard Fournette and receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns. There's also the issue of Blake Bortles' struggles to deal with.

2017 Bottom Line

Lee was solid, if unspectacular, last season, getting playing time because Hurns was injured. While he did make the most of his opportunities, you'd like to see him score more often. Despite his production, he had just six games with more than 60 receiving yards and six games with 5 or more catches. For a player who doesn't score a lot, that makes him very hit and miss. At this point, he's a flex option or bye week starter as your No. 4 receiver.
