Week 17 at Panthers
Murray again took a backseat in the Saints offense, seeing just nine touches for 25 yards. This week will likely be more of the same but there is the chance that Murray breaks one in his limited opportunities just because of how bad the Panthers' rush defense is.
Week 16 at Titans
Murray's role over the last few weeks has been pretty well-defined. He plays about a third of the snaps, will see about 7-10 carries and about 2-3 targets. That's nice for the Saints, but not exactly ideal for your fantasy team in the finals.
Week 15 vs Colts
Murray is still being out-snapped by quite a bit by Alvin Kamara. But it was Murray who had the stronger game against the 49ers, with 94 total yards. But Kamara is still the higher presence in the passing game, meaning Murray still comes with some risk at this stage of the season. He is, however, on a run of two of his last three games averaging almost ten yards per carry. It's just the fact he only sees about a third of the offensive snaps. He's a deep flex option if you've rolled with him to this point.
Week 14 vs 49ers
Murray has started going back to taking a backseat to Alvin Kamara, getting just four carries against the Falcons. Against the 49ers, it's almost a touchdown-or-bust situation. With Michael Thomas leading the way and Kamara playing a handful more of snaps that Murray, Murray is a very risky play in the fantasy playoffs against one of the top, if not the top fantasy defense.
Week 13 at Falcons
Murray has been working his way into more of an appealing piece of the Saints offense. He only saw four fewer carries than Alvin Kamara, but gained 10 more yards on the ground than Kamara and scored a touchdown. He just still isn’t offering you anything in the passing game. That makes him a low flex option. He would have to greatly improve his numbers from the first Falcons game, however, where he had just 19 total yards,
Week 12 vs Panthers
For just the third time this season, and first with Alvin Kamara playing, Murray saw double-digit rushes in a game. That's the good news. The bad news is that those 10 carries resulted in just 27 yards. He also posted just five yards in the passing game. With Kamara fully back, Murray is back as the secondary option in the backfield.
Week 11 at Buccaneers
Alvin Kamara's return to the lineup meant Murray went right back to simply being sprinkled into the offense, playing just 25% of the offensive snaps and touching the ball just seven times for 19 total yards. He's back as a low-end RB3/Flex play with four teams on a bye.
Week 10 vs. Falcons
Murray was given a chance to shine with Alvin Kamara out with injury for two games and he took full advantage of that opportunity. Murray rushed for over 100 yards in both games and caught 14 passes between the two games, including a nine-catch outing in Week 8 against the Cardinals.
Kamara is likely set to return this week, but perhaps we'll finally see the Saints mix Murray in more than they had before Kamara's injury and give Murray a chance to really earn the huge money New Orleans is giving him.
Week 8 vs. Cardinals
Murray finally had his breakout game with the Saints. It just took an Alvin Kamara injury to do so. And he may get another chance Sunday as Kamara is still dealing with his ankle and knee injuries and has not returned to practice yet. As last week showed, Murray just needs the ball in his hands enough times and he'll do good things with it. Arizona is No. 15 in PPR fantasy points allowed. Murray is a healthy RB2/Flex play again if Kamara is out again.
Week 7 at Bears
Murray actually outgained Alvin Kamara on the ground, despite seeing three fewer carries. He also recorded the same number of yards receiving on four fewer catches and five fewer targets. And for the first time this season, Murray played more than 40 percent of the Saints' offensive snaps. That said, he still takes a backseat in the offense to Kamara, Michael Thomas and Jared Cook. However, if Kamara can't go on Sunday, Murray jumps into flex or even RB2 territory,
