Week 13 at Seattle Seahawks
Kyle Rudolph has emerged out of nowhere lately as he finished 5-67-1 last week. He's now scored in four of his last five games, making him an appealing streaming option. But it's worth pointing out he's only averaging 22 yards per game. He's basically a touchdown-or-bust tight end, and he faces a Seahawks defense that's allowed five scores to the position this season.
Week 11 vs. Denver Broncos
Kyle Rudolph went 4-14-2 in an odd game last week. Rudolph has now caught four touchdowns in the last four weeks, but has only topped 25 yards in two games this season. Essentially, he's a touchdown-or-bust tight end. He'll face a Broncos defense this week that has allowed just one touchdown to the tight end position all season, meaning Rudolph will likely be a bust in Week 11.
Week 10 at Dallas Cowboys
Kyle Rudolph was actually productive last week, finishing 3-23-1. It still wasn't a great game as his production was mostly just due to his touchdown, his second of the season. This is still a player with three games below 10 receiving yards on the year. He's a touchdown-or-bust option this week against the Cowboys who have allowed three touchdowns to tight ends all season.
Week 8 vs. Washington Redskins
Kyle Rudolph had his first relevant game all season last week, finishing 5-58-1. It's the only game where he's topped 40 receiving yards all season. He's finished below 15 yards in five games this season so we don't recommend him, even though he may get more looks if Adam Thielen is sidelined.
Week 7 at Detroit Lions
Kyle Rudolph in the first five games this season: 36 receiving yards. Kyle Rudolph last week: 36 receiving yards. While Rudolph had a somewhat big game last week, don't look for that production to continue. He's been very limited in Minnesota's offense despite heavy playing time. Look elsewhere for your tight end this week.
Week 5 at New York Giants
Kyle Rudolph was one of fantasy's top tight ends last season, but he's barely doing anything in 2019. He has five receptions for 32 yards through four games. You can safely avoid him this week against the Giants.
Week 4 at Chicago Bears
Kyle Rudolph finished with TE1 numbers in 2018, but he's been mostly nonexistent in 2019. He's caught four passes through three games despite playing 173 of Minnesota's 181 offensive snaps this season. He's safe to bench, or just leave on waivers at this point.
Week 3 vs. Oakland Raiders
Kyle Rudolph's playing time hasn't been impacted by rookie Irv Smith Jr. Rudolph has played 100% of the offensive snaps in both games this season. Instead, Rudolph is being impacted by Kirk Cousins' poor play. Rudolph had a goose egg in Week 1 and caught three passes for only nine yards in Week 2. He gets a good matchup this week, but we don't recommend starting a player with nine yards through two games.
Week 2 at Green Bay Packers
Kyle Rudolph dropped a fat goose egg in Week 1 as he had just one target all game. To be fair, though, Minnesota threw the ball just 10 times. Still, one look every 10 targets isn't promising for Rudolph. He's outside of TE1 territory in Week 2 against the Packers. At this point, he's essentially a touchdown-or-bust player.
Week 1 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Kyle Rudolph amazingly finished as a top 10 tight end in fantasy last season (both in standard and PPR) despite not playing all that well. But it's important to note 22% of his PPR points came in a single game last year. He finished below 20 yards five times in 2018, so he has a low floor. And with the addition of rookie Irv Smith Jr., it's likely we see Rudolphs production dip in 2019. With several tight ends who offer more promise, Rudolph should be viewed as someone who is just on the outside of TE1 range.
