STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Browns
Kenny Britt didn't record a catch in the Rams Week 5 loss to the Packers. He's been targeted just five times in his last two games and should remain on your waiver wire for Week 8.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Green Bay
One week after catching seven passes for 102 yards in a loss to the Steelers, Kenny Britt was targeted just once in the Rams win over the Cardinals in Week 4. Britt finished without a reception for the first time all season and squashed thoughts he could emerge as a sneaky WR3 option moving forward. It's not as if he saw his snaps reduced, as he played on 49-of-53 plays, which was his highest output of the season. He just simply wasn't targeted as Tavon Austin and Todd Gurley emerged as the Rams best playmakers. Leave Britt on your waiver wire, as St. Louis' passing game is way too unreliable for fantasy purposes.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Arizona
Kenny Britt caught seven-of-10 targets for 102 yards in the Rams Week 3 win over the Steelers. As the mysterious case of Brian Quick (inactive for the third straight week) continues, Britt remains St. Louis defacto No. 1 receiver. Britt is the only pass-catcher on the team that has proven he can consistently make difficult catches, which has certainly caught the eye of quarterback Nick Foles. But he only has 17 targets in three weeks and the Rams can't run the ball to set up their play-action game. Britt doesn't have the play-making ability to be a reliable fantasy option, so avoid him for now. He ranks as our WR46 for Week 4.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Pittsburgh
Kenny Britt caught two-of-four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Rams Week 2 loss to the Redskins. With Brian Quick a surprise inactive in back-to-back weeks, Britt remains St. Louis' de facto No. 1 receiver. But that means very little for a team that wants to be run-first. Britt ranks as our WR43 for Week 3 and should be avoided in all formats.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Washington
Kenny Britt caught two-of-three targets for 37 yards in the Rams Week 1 win over the Seahawks. He made a huge catch on a third-and-15 late in the fourth quarter to help set up Lance Kendricks' game-tying touchdown reception as St. Louis went on to win the game in overtime. The output from Britt was disappointing considering Brian Quick was a surprise inactive before the game. He's not a consistent fantasy option and can be safely left on your waiver wire. Britt ranks as our WR50 for Sunday's matchup against the Redskins.

STL WR Kenny Britt - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the wide receiver position in St. Louis, Kenny Britt has emerged as the one constant. Britt managed to stay healthy last season while playing in all 16 games and is in the midst of having a strong camp after-signing to a two-year deal back in March. He’s developed good chemistry with new quarterback Nick Foles and continues to provide veteran leadership to players like Brian Quick, Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin. Even though the Rams will employ a run-first offense, Britt has a starting spot locked up and should put up better numbers than he did a year ago due to the upgrade at quarterback.

Fantasy Downside
Britt's output suffered last season due to backup quarterbacks Austin Davis and Shaun Hill being forced into action after Sam Bradford went down with his second ACL injury in as many seasons. But even with Foles now under center, the Rams will be run-heavy under head coach Jeff Fisher and new OC Frank Cignetti, and will likely suppress Britt’s numbers. Even though he might not see extensive action this preseason, Quick also looks healthy coming off a career-threatening arm injury. As long as he doesn’t suffer any setbacks, it’ll likely be Quick and not Britt that sees the majority of the targets in the passing game.

Bottom Line
Britt should top the 48-748-3 numbers that he posted in 2014, but it’s unlikely he’ll improve much on the WR51 fantasy ranking he had a year ago. Britt is a savvy veteran that is physical through the catch point and wins on jump balls, but he no longer has the speed to create consistent separation in the vertical game and his opportunities will be limited due to a run-first offense. He currently ranks as our WR99 and is going undrafted in 10 and 12-team leagues. View him as a WR5 only.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17: Britt vs. Seahawks
Kenny Britt caught nine-of-11 targets for 103 yards in the Rams' Week 16 loss to the Giants. It was the most catches that Britt has recorded this season and it was only the second time he went over 100 yards receiving in a game. While he hasn't put up eye-popping numbers this season (44-710-3), Britt has done enough to perhaps merit a new contract from the Rams this offseason. But for fantasy purposes, Britt holds limited value and should be avoided for Week 17.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16: Britt vs. Giants
Kenny Britt caught five-of-nine targets for 65 yards in the Rams’ Week 15 loss to the Cardinals. Britt made a terrific catch between multiple defenders for a first down late in the fourth quarter. He’s technically the No. 1 WR in St. Louis but we don’t trust anything about the Rams’ passing game. Britt ranks as our No. 42 overall WR for Week 16 and should be avoided.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15: Britt vs. Cardinals
Kenny Britt caught two-of-five targets for 52 yards in the Rams' Week 14 win over the Redskins. He may have scored on a long pass in the first half, but Shaun Hill underthrew him a bit and Britt had to settle for a 41-yard gain instead. Given the Rams' inconsistent passing game, Britt is merely a WR4/5 in all formats. Avoid him on Thursday night versus the Cardinals.

STL WR Kenny Britt - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14: Britt vs. Redskins
Kenny Britt caught his lone target for 13 yards in the Rams’ 52-0 win over the Raiders in Week 13. Britt runs a lot of the vertical routes in Brian Schottenheimer’s offense and with Shaun Hill under center, the team’s game plans continue to center on short, quick passes. Thus, Britt has limited fantasy appeal and should be avoided in Week 14.
