Week 6 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Ito Smith rushed three times for five yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ Week 5 loss to the Steelers. With Devonta Freeman back, Smith was relegated to No. 3 duties but he still saw plenty of playing time in Atlanta’s three-RB committee. With Freeman’s status for Week 6 in doubt, Smith could be the Falcons’ No. 2 back behind Coleman but even if that happens, the rookie won’t hold much fantasy value.
Week 4 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Ito Smith lost six yards on two carries while also catching 3-of-4 targets for 41 receiving yards in the Falcons’ Week 3 loss to the Saints. He’ll continue to serve as Tevin Coleman’s backup if Devonta Freeman remains out with a knee injury. Once Freeman is back, Smith will be relegated to Atlanta’s No. 3 back. Either way, he doesn’t hold much fantasy value and ranks as our No. 46 RB for Week 4.
Week 3 vs. New Orleans Saints
Ito Smith rushed nine times for 46 yards in the Falcons’ Week 2 win over the Panthers. He also fumbled inside the red zone on one second-half carry but one of his offensive lineman was able to recover the ball. The rookie served as Tevin Coleman’s backup with Devonta Freeman (knee) out. Smith will reprise that same role on Sunday when the Falcons host the Panthers. It would take an injury to Coleman for Smith to be fantasy relevant but it’s important to know that he’s the No. 2 back in Atlanta with Freeman out. Ranked as our No. 45 RB, avoid Smith for Sunday’s showdown with the Saints.
