Week 15 at New York Jets
In the loss to the Colts last week, Deshaun Watson threw for 267 yards and ran for 35 more. It was the most yards he’s passed for since Week 5 and he continued his streak of throwing for at least one TD in every game this season. Watson has accounted for 24 scores in ’18 and has not thrown a pick in three straight. The Jets defense is in the middle of the pack for yards allowed, making Watson a low QB1 option on Saturday afternoon.
Week 14 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Leading his team to its ninth straight victory last Sunday versus the Browns, Deshaun Watson threw for 224 yards and a TD and ran for another 30 yards. He’s passed for at least one score in every game this season but has failed to throw for more than 240 yards in seven consecutive contests. In the Week 4 overtime win at Indy, Watson was sacked seven times but threw for 375 yards and two TDs. With the success Lamar Miller and the ground game is having lately, don’t expect Watson to be near that yardage total in the rematch.
Week 13 vs. Cleveland Browns
Last Monday in the home win versus Tennessee, Deshaun Watson threw two TD tosses and ran for another score. He passed for 210 yards and ran for a career-high 70 yards on nine carries. Watson has put the ball in the air exactly 24 times in four of the past five contests and hasn’t thrown for more than 240 yards since Week 5. The Browns are the fourth-worst defense at stopping the pass so look for another good performance from Watson on Sunday.
Week 12 vs. Tennessee Titans
In the win at Washington last week Deshaun Watson threw just 24 passes, completing 16 of them for 208 yards, with one TD and two INTs. He has passed for less than 250 yards in five consecutive games, averaging just 23 attempts during that stretch. At Tennessee in Week 2, Watson threw for 310 yards and two TDs and the Titans were lit up by Andrew Luck at Indianapolis last Sunday. Consider Watson a low QB1 play Monday night.
Week 11 at Washington Redskins
At Denver two weeks ago, Deshaun Watson threw only 24 passes, completing 17 for 213 and two TDs. He also ran for 38 yards in the win. It was the fourth consecutive game in which Watson put the ball in the air no more than 25 times and passed for less than 250 yards. However, he’s been effective during that four-game stretch, tossing nine TDs. At Washington on Sunday, Watson faces a defense allowing 270 yards through the air. Keep on starting the Texans QB.
Week 9 at Denver Broncos
In the win over the Dolphins last Thursday, Deshaun Watson attempted only 20 passes. But what an amazing performance he had with those tosses, completing 16 for 239 yards and a career-high five TDs. He'll be without one of his favorite targets in Will Fuller, who's been lost for the rest of the season, and will have a new WR in Demaryius Thomas. Watson still has his main man in DeAndre Hopkins, who should see a lot of looks at Denver on Sunday. The Broncos are No. 11 versus the pass, making Watson a low QB1 start.
Week 8 vs. Miami Dolphins
After taking a bus to Jacksonville last week to help with his rib and lung injuries, Deshaun Watson is back at home on Thursday night versus Miami. With the defense in control of the win over the Jags, he went just 12-of-24 for 139 yards and a TD toss to DeAndre Hopkins. In the past two weeks Watson has thrown a total of 49 passes for less than 180 yards in each. Houston’s D may dominate again, which could mean another subpar fantasy performance from Watson. He remains a low QB1 play.
Week 7 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Deshaun Watson’s string of four straight 300-yard games ended last week in the comeback win over the Bills. Houston’s offense struggled to move the ball and Watson finished with just 177 passing yards, a TD and two INTs. He threw only 25 times, as the Texans ran just 50 offensive plays. Things may be tough again for Watson and the Texans on the road at Jacksonville, against the top pass defense. He is on the low end of the QB1 options.
Week 6 vs. Buffalo Bills
In the overtime win over the Cowboys last Sunday night, Deshaun Watson remained hot, throwing for 375 yards and a score and rushing for another 40 yards. He completed 75 percent of his passes (33-of-44) to eight different targets. Watson has thrown for more than 300 yards in four consecutive contests with seven TD tosses during that span. He also is averaging 40 yards on the ground this season. While the Bills defense is No. 6 overall, there is no way you are not starting Watson.
Week 5 vs. Dallas Cowboys
Deshaun Watson posted his first career comeback win at Indianapolis last Sunday. In the overtime victory, Watson again lit up the stat sheet, throwing for 375 yards and two TDs and running for 41 yards and another score. While he was sacked seven times, he has passed for over 300 yards with two TD tosses in three straight games. The Cowboys are ranked sixth versus the pass but surrendered over 300 yards to Matthew Stafford last week, so keep on starting Watson.
