Week 19 vs Pittsburgh
After scoring a 72-yard touchdown in the first minute of the game two weeks ago versus the Bolts, Demaryius Thomas finished with five grabs for 117 yards. He was over the century mark four times during the regular season, with six scores. At Pittsburgh last month with Brock Osweiler at QB, Thomas caught five passes for 61 yards and two TDs. During the regular season, the Steelers were No. 30 versus the pass.
Week 17 vs. San Diego
In the win over the Bengals last Monday, Demaryius Thomas was targeted a team-high 12 times, leading to seven grabs for 59 yards. In the past six weeks, D.T. has registered a TD every other game, meaning that he is due to be back in the end zone in the regular season finale. Thomas caught six passes for 61 yards and a score in the win over the Chargers in December.
Week 16 vs. Cincinnati
After a fabulous first half against the Steelers last week, Demaryius Thomas finished with five grabs for 61 yards and two TDs. Brock Osweiler completed only seven passes in the second half; and, for the third straight game, the Broncos were held scoreless after intermission. Thomas is still a must-start, but his drops have been costly to both his team and fantasy owners.
Week 15 at Pittsburgh
Despite leading the team with 10 receptions for 95 yards last week in the loss to the Raiders, Demaryius Thomas has to be thinking about his lost fumble and two key dropped passes – one in the end zone and another on a third down play that would’ve kept a drive going late in the game. Brock Osweiler threw the ball 51 times, with 14 of them going to Demaryius. He has 88 grabs for over 1,000 yards on the season and will continue to get his looks, but Thomas has to hang on to the ball. There is no question he should remain in your starting lineup.
Week 14 vs. Oakland
After catching just one pass the previous week, the Broncos got Demaryius Thomas involved early against the Bolts last Sunday. He finished with a team-high six grabs for 61 yards and his third score of ’15. Demaryius registered just one reception on 13 targets versus New England, but caught all of his looks at San Diego. After building a two touchdown lead, the Denver offense got conservative and let the defense win the game. Thomas caught five passes for 55 yards in Week 6 at Oakland and is primed for another good showing at home on Sunday.
Week 13 at San Diego
It was a rough night for Demaryius Thomas last Sunday against the Pats. He was targeted a team-high 13 times from Brock Osweiler, but finished with just a 36-yard reception. Demaryius had a few drops and his timing with Osweiler was off, however, his lone catch was a big one on Denver’s final drive in regulation. Thomas has had his share of struggles this season, but he’s still the Broncos No. 1 WR and will be counted on in the passing game. Look for him to get involved in the offense early at San Diego this week. He should definitely remain in your starting lineup.
Week 12 vs. New England
With Brock Osweiler throwing 12 of his 27 passes to TEs in the win over the Bears last Sunday, Demaryius Thomas still led the Broncos with eight targets. He finished with just three catches for 59 yards, but one went for a 48-yard TD. Emmanuel Sanders missed the contest, so there weren’t a lot of deep routes by Denver receivers to stretch out the Chicago defense. Sanders could miss the Sunday night affair as well, which means Demaryius will again receive plenty of looks from Osweiler. Even with the QB change in Denver, keep on starting Thomas.
Week 11 at Chicago
With Peyton Manning throwing for only 35 yards into the third quarter last week in the home loss to the Chiefs, Demaryius Thomas’ had just a 17-yard reception. However, once the game was out of hand and Brock Osweiler came in, Demaryius was eventually targeted 10 times on the day, leading to seven grabs for 71 yards. He’ll still be a top target in the Broncos passing game with the quarterback change and should remain in your starting lineup, even against the No. 4 defense against the pass.
Week 10 vs. Kansas City
With Peyton Manning throwing the ball 36 times last week in Indianapolis, Demaryius Thomas was targeted on seven passes, leading to five catches for a season-low 50 yards. Manning went to Owen Daniels and Emmanuel Sanders a combined 20 times, with each catching a TD. Although he still has only one score on the season, Thomas recorded 116 yards in the first meeting with the Chiefs in September and should post good numbers again on Sunday.
Week 9 at Indianapolis
With Peyton Manning throwing for a season-high 340 yards last Sunday against Green Bay, Demaryius Thomas had another strong outing, grabbing eight passes for 168 yards. We’ve all heard about Manning’s struggles, but it hasn’t trickled down to Demaryius, who has recorded three 100-yard games and is averaging 99 yards per contest. While he’s only scored once in 2015, there’s no way you’re even thinking about sitting Thomas.
