NYJ RB Chris Ivory - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4: Ivory vs Lions
It appears the running back split in New York is favoring Chris Ivory. Although the touches are similar between him and Chris Johnson, he has been more effective and successful, especially in the passing game.

Ivory will face the Lions in Week 4 and although Detroit's defense has been very good early in the season, running backs have had moderate success. For now, Ivory has moved ahead of Johnson as far as fantasy ratings. He is a high-end RB3 this week or flex. Start him if you have to, but don't expect a huge week.

NYJ RB Chris Ivory - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3: Ivory vs Bears
Chris Ivory had more carries than Chris Johnson in Week 2 and he also had a touchdown for the second straight week. He is starting to catch up to Johnson who many thought would be the featured back for New York. That hasn't been the case.

Ivory rates almost exactly the same as Johnson and for Week 3, that means an RB3/Flex rating as a fantasy starter. This combination will be interesting to keep an eye on,.

NYJ RB Chris Ivory - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2: Ivory vs Packers
It was a big day for Chris Ivory going over the 100 yard mark and scoring a rushing touchdown. The starter Chris Johnson did neither. So, will Ivory split carries evenly with Johnson? Too early to say.

What it does say is that Ivory is part of the Jets game plan, with the big downside being just about no usage in the passing game. If Ivory stays healthy, he could be a guy who helps you as a flex or RB3. He is borderline for Week 2, but the Packers defense might be the factor that makes a decision to put him in as a starter for Week 3.

NYJ RB Chris Ivory - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1: Ivory vs Raiders
Chris Johnson was brought in to be the No. 1, but Chris Ivory should still be somewhat involved with the offense. He is a nice player to have on your bench, especially if you have Johnson.

Look for Ivory to get touches throughout the season, and Week 1 could end up being better than we are thinking. He is still not a starter, but definitely someone to keep an eye on the first couple weeks. Ivory might end up a solid RB backup on people's teams.
