Allen Hurns Week 13 vs. Giants
Since catching seven passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 against Cincinnati, Allen Hurns has a pair of one-catch games. Blake Bortles is just too inconsistent at this point and it's killing his receivers. Don't use Hurns as anything more than a flex and hope for the best.
Allen Hurns Week 12 vs. Colts
Allen Hurns gets a bump up with Allen Robinson now out for the season. Hurns has been wildly inconsistent this season. He did have a 63-yard TD reception in Jacksonville's first meeting with Indianapolis back in Week 3, but it was his only catch in the game. He's worth taking a shot on this week as a low-end No. 3 or flex player due to the higher volume of passes he should see.
Allen Hurns Week 10 vs. Cowboys
Allen Hurns exploded for seven receptions and 112 yards and two scores last week. But I'm not buying after just his second truly productive game since Week 1. Add in the fact that Dallas has been tough on opposing wideouts, and there's just been too much miss compared to the hits for Hurns for my taste. Yes, Cecil Shorts sat out practice Thursday with hamstring tightness, but he expects to play. If he doesn't, Hurns' value improves, but that could be a game-time decision.
Allen Hurns Week 9 vs. Bengals
Allen Hurns has just 10 targets in the past three games. He did make it work last week with three catches for 49 yards, but there just aren't enough looks in this offense to go around.
Allen Hurns Week 8 vs. Miami
With everyone else now healthy and off suspension, Allen Hurns is being phased out of the Jacksonville offense. He should be phased out of your fantasy plans as well.
Allen Hurns Week 7 vs. Browns
After his two-catch, 18-yard effort last week, Hurns has now had two or fewer receptions in three of six games this season. With Cecil Shorts and Marqise Lee both back, Hurns has little value.
Allen Hurns Week 6 vs. Titans
Allen Hurns was targeted 11 times last week against the Steelers but managed just four catches for 26 yards. He also had several drops. But there's still little else to turn to right now in Jacksonville, so he's going to keep on getting opportunities. Tennessee has allowed over 200 yards receiving and three total touchdowns to opposing wideouts the past two weeks, so there's a chance Hurns rights the ship. He's worth a shot as a flex.
Allen Hurns Week 5 vs. Steelers
Allen Hurns had a season-high five receptions last week, turning them into 68 yards. That's not the big-play guy we saw in the first three weeks, but with additional looks, that could change. Pittsburgh' defense has allowed 33 receptions for 448 yards and three scores to opposing wideouts the past two weeks, so Hurns isn't a bad option to roll out as a flex this week, especially with Cecil Shorts and Marqise Lee out.
Allen Hurns Week 4 vs. Chargers
Allen Hurns is turning into the new Cris Carter. All he does is catch touchdowns. He had just one reception last week but it was a 63-yard touchdown, giving him three TDs on his seven receptions this season. But he's lining up as the No. 3 receiver behind Cecil Shorts and Allen Robinson in Jacksonville. He's only worth playing if you're a gambler and need a high-risk, high-reward flex play.
Allen Hurns Week 3 vs. Colts
Allen Hurns was likely a hot waiver pickup after his Week 1 performance. But he managed just two catches for 13 yards. He's dealing with an ankle injury this week. Check his status before using him as a low-end flex option in very deep leagues.
