JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Houston
Hurns suffered a concussion last week and did not record a catch. He's in the league protocol right now and that makes him iffy to play this week, even if he does return to practice. There can always be last-minute setbacks with concussions. Look elsewhere for help this week.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Kansas City
Hurns matched his season-best 11 targets last week and turned them into seven catches for 98 yards and a score. He's had those 11-target games in two of the past three, so that's looking a little better. Hurns also has scored in two of the past four games, so things might be looking up slightly after a slow start. Kansas City has allowed eight WR touchdowns in the past four games, so use Hurns as a No. 3 receiver and hope for one of his huge games.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Tennessee
Hurns caught four of his seven targets against the Raiders for 45 yards, which wasn't great, but was at least better than Allen Robinson's 2-9-0 line. However, that now puts Hurns at 47 or fewer yards in three of six games, which is a troubling trend. The emergence of Marquise Lee is hurting the production of both Robinson and Hurns.

Tennessee has allowed at least 14 WR receptions in five of its seven games (and at least 168 yards to the position in five of seven games), but Hurns isn't getting consistent enough targets to use as anything more than a high-end flex or low-end No. 3 receiver.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Oakland
Hurns matched his season-high with five receptions last week and also had 74 yards, one under his season high. He's battling through a shoulder injury this week, so make sure you check his status on Friday, but he played through plenty of worse things last season. Consider him a good No. 3 receiver start this week in a soft matchup against Oakland at home.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Chicago
Hurns has been something of a disappointment this season, losing targets to Marquis Lee and Julius Thomas to the point where he's worth little more than a low-end No. 3 or flex play this season. He had just two catches for 46 yards and a score last week, with the TD saving his outing. Chicago's been good against the pass this season, though the Bears did allow the Colts receivers to catch 17 passes for 250 yards last week. If you use Hurns, you're hoping he scores.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Indianapolis
Hurns caught four passes for 40 yards last week on eight targets, which is actually a pretty good volume of targets for a No. 2 receiver. This week, he gets a soft Colts defense that he tortured in 2015 as Indianapolis concentrated on stopping Allen Robinson. While Robinson was limited to five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown in two games last season, Hurns caught 14 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns on 19 targets. Hurns is a sneaky start this week as a No. 2 receiver with upside.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Baltimore
Hurns managed five catches for 64 yards last week as Blake Bortles seemed to ignore his top two targets to throw the ball elsewhere. That won't happen every week to be sure, and Baltimore allowed two TDs to wide receivers last week against Cleveland. Hurns should produce enough this week to be a solid No. 3 receiver and he always has that big-play upside.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at San Diego
Despite getting just five targets last week - compared to 15 for Allen Robinson - Hurns outpaced his teammate with 75 yards on four catches. The targets, however, are somewhat troubling. Better days will certainly be ahead, possibly starting this week in what could be a shootout with the Chargers. Hurns should at least be a No. 3 starter this week with some serious upside.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Green Bay
Playing opposite Allen Robinson, Hurns isn't always going to get a high volume of passes thrown his way. He's clearly the No. 2 option. That said, Hurns is a very good No. 2 option. But Green Bay allowed the eighth-fewest WR catches and sixth-fewest WR scores (12) last season. Use Hurns as a low-end No. 3 option or high-end flex play this week,.

JAX WR Allen Hurns - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Overshadowed by teammate Allen Robinson, Hurns quietly had a very productive season despite seeing his targets increase only slightly from 97 as a rookie to 104 last season. His line of 64-1,031-10 in 15 games would look good on anyone's roster, and he did that playing through a myriad of injuries. Hurns is slightly undervalued in most early drafts, as he's been the 31st receiver taken with an ADP of 69. Take advantage of his low overall value and grab him as a very high-end No. 3 receiver. If Robinson draws more attention this season, Hurns would be the biggest beneficiary.
